- Not just a marble battle, but the entire war.
Armies travel randomly across the map, engaging in combat if they meet. Once conquered, towns will produce more fighters for the player. Whenever the army goes to the home city or a friendly town, it will reinforce itself with fighters.
Fighters gain experience by scoring kills. If a fighter gains enough experience it will level up, gaining perks like additional hit points, speed and/or equipment.
Destroy all the enemy kings and armies to win!

Changes in this version:
- New unit: Monk - converts enemies when hitting them with a book if their health is low enough.
- New unit: Kingsguard - spawns with the king and protects him with a halberd. Attempts to stay close to the king.
- Damage and armour rebalancing.
- All kings now get upgrades periodically. The set of upgrades for this event is different to the upgrades received from bandits.
- New upgrades: mage spawner, monk spawner, knight spawner, kings crusade (causes the king to leave the castle).
- Shields can now be damaged and destroyed by hammers and axes.
- Mage push ability removed.
- Berserker now has an ability (unlocked at later levels) that makes it spin very fast for a short duration. Starts with smaller axes.
- Weapons now deal additional damage based on speed, so at level 1 fighters won't always 1-hit kill enemies.

Crusades really do seem a guaranteed "his kingdom will die" event - either king dies in the field, or city is so so underdefended it gets immediately snapped up
The idea isn't bad but the execution needs work.
I think that the crusader king should be stronger than just the base king, as the base king is being protected by his castle.
So basically the crusade upgrade should be a sacrifice of the safety of the castle walls for a really really strong king unit, i think.
Either Crusade should give the king a level up, or drafts a bunch of peasants, or he returns to the castle after one successful invasion battle.
I like the idea of returning to the castle. Suddenly having huge army in the field is beneficial (to capture some vilages and gain xp) but keeping it out for too long is a death sentence.
+1 for returning to the castle after a battle. A king shouldn't be gone from his kingdom too long.
Let’s not forget be converted to one’s enemy’s cause. Or does that count as a death?
The ragnarok and crusade upgrade should probably have some additional bonus to the kingdom that gets the upgrade so it’s not basically a punishment, like “you summon a demon, starting ragnarok” and “you’re king goes on a crusade, an angel protects your city in his stead”

I would just add more people into the army, really go all in on the this is a great and big army
I like the little story of Linvala Hop, the keeper of her own Stronghold, she was the one man army, and tried her best to prepare other Knights to defend their land together...
Sadly King KrystianZombie desided to announce a Crusade, and lead the whole army of his kingdom opon Linvala. The King was victorious, at first... but soon enough his Capital was destroyed, and he was killed in other battle. And the only one who was left from Green Nation... is DawnFury, the very same man who ended the life of Linvala, and took her place as the keeper of Stronghold. He experiencedthe very same fate as Linvala is, and had the same end of his life... in battle for his Fortress.
Linvala hop was betrayed by her own men, just like the Scarlett General from episode 3. The greens are really fond of disposing heros by bribing the hero's men.
There was actually another survivor from green kingdom who lasted a lot longer.

My favorite part was at 23:30, when King Muffinskill III spent an entire battle getting spun in circles by Tylar the Kingsguard, and immediately dumped Tylar in the next town as soon as the battle was over.
I also would be pissed if I was used as a blunt weapon
And then picked him back up a couple minutes later. Tylar was on his best behaviour ever since.

huge respect to our beloved Nezumi the kingslayer, he was the last survivor of cyan kingdom, he got the luck to be monked into a red with predstava, and he survived until the last battle as a cyan. Huge respect for him
Guy was there from the very beginning and was the last marble to die, Nezumi the Eternal Guardian or some such title 🤣 (had to workshop that title a couple times)

Massive respect for Nezumi and Muffinskill, even after they got assimilated. Was hoping for a clutch at the end, but I'll take having a cyan marble be the MVP.
Actually, I don't think he was monked. The battle ended after his king was monked, which automatically made him switch sides. It's cool that there's more than one way for a marble to side with a different kingdom

Okay, but can we talk about Sinep Egral the Warfront Dancer? They just single handed beat an entire army's worth of marble all on their own, while looking majestic as hell.
I noticed that too. The music was epic during their rampage as well.
Sinep Egral said as their last ally died, “Oh, stop it… you’re gonna get me all excited!” They were the third warrior to be seen as a Class 5, just behind Linvala Hop and Nezumi.

Predstava II, the man of suffering. He and his peers became an army with unstoppable strength, along with ochalo and maxafur, however, in a fierce battle, all of his companions died, and he retired to the kingdom out of grief, eventually finding happiness again with the ex cyan king and his loyal axe knight, the same people who killed his friends, but they managed to get along
He found his end against the great purple army, along with his monk friend, spectrazon
It was thanks to him that the red managed to last for so long despite having one of the lowest numbers
Also props to red monks for recruiting half of the world, including not one but two kings
Ahhh. Pingspikes, slayer of his own king, along with his brother in arms AzyGrazy dying right in front of his eyes. After losing everything... he tries to find a battlefield to die on so he can join the others in the afterlife. A tragic tale this is.

The two lost King's Guard, cursed for killing the one they swore to protect. Cursed to wander the land, only killable by kings, or if they kill a king. AzyGazy, wanting to be freed laid down to the purple king who, though confused by that, struck him down. In his rage at the lose of his brother, the only other yellow, Ping spikes killed the purple king, removing his own immortality, to be later put to rest by the red army.

Oh my god. This was amazing. When I put my name in, I was just hoping to see myself on the screen for a couple seconds! The wave of emotions I felt throughout this video is hard to describe. Thanks so much for making this series. The emergent narratives are wonderful in their own right, but being able to see yourself inside of it is something else entirely.

The best marble kingdoms serie so far in my opinion! I was SO hyped to see predstava II in the beginning, like omg, it has to be my child! And what's more, it was not just a warrior - leading its squad instead of killing all enemies on its own was definitely wiser. And if the predstava in Marble Kingdoms 16 was so-called kingslayer, the predstava II in this part was definitely a city conquerer.
Overall, this part of marble kingdoms was so more complex, all those cockroaching hard-to-kill kings guards, monks switching even the kings on their side, constant fighting and a bit of fear for your hero. I'm once again amazed - but this time, it was a pure masterpiece!

An interesting way to reform the crusade idea would be to make crusades always attack capitals, and if the king who leads the crusade wins he takes the capital of the enemy for himself instead of destroying it.
The red kingdom is a kingdom of colors wether it be green, orange or even blue! They also have 2 notable warriors in their rank:
Everybody is fair game to the monk Spectrazon, they were the right hand man of of Predstavas’s descendant. they were a young normal monk until he successfully converted king Muffinskill III, the Cyan king, and also his royal guard, Nezumi who went on to terrorize enemy forces. Spectrazon later converted a bandit warlord and fought multiple purple soldiers and converting most of them before falling in battle along with Predestava.
There is also Nezumi, One of the Royal guard of Cyan who only allowed themself to be converted by a monk who is revealed to be a young Spectrazon. He later went on to terrorize armies with his spiked helmet and halberd and was fully initiated to the red kingdom and even though he died as a member of the red army, deep down he is still a cyan.
Also Linvala Hop is very epic because neutrals don’t last that long.
You should also mention Maxafur, the first Right hand of Predstava, a good lad who was killed by the SAME NEZUMI

The fact that the kings can change teams is absolutely insane and I love it.
when your favorite color wins by doing nothing all game, and you're unsure how to feel about it
for me it was in order of fav was green, yellow and red. (the first is the nearest color to the word fav) and english isn't my native laguage.
I know this is late but ,the colour that won didn’t do nothing. If you pay close attention to the condition of the enemy army and the direction it travels in when that colour took part in battle, you will realise it had far more impact on the course of the war than it originally appears. In fact that colour can even be indirectly attributed the downfall of every other colour to some degree and the deaths of multiple major heroes.

Regular soldier that has been promoted in the great battle for an occupied by yellows city. After the battle he was set as a leader of a scout legion and was send to investigate possible ways to destroy capital of red kingdom. Unfortunately when he was at the mission Crement Alhimedov with his legion encountered red legion of Captain Predslava ll, he has been unmatched in equipment and has fallen at the line of his duty.
In the battle prior a skilled longswordman named Dalancer had managed to slay ~27 marbles before falling.
I don't think the three marbles can be called the "Red Legion", rather he was killed by Predslava and his loyal squires

The Appearance of my own marble at 19:24 was cool. Did a last stand, taking a whole lot of light blue out with him.
Looks like 27 kills, so a significant chunk of that big army.
The legend on the flesh, W, I wanted him to level up to level 5, he was so close of leveling up, and he was on my favourite colour, Huge respect to your marble who clear over 50 cyans alone
Looking at the stats screen it's even more impressive, taking out the highest number of enemies in a single battle too at 27.

The legend of AzzyGrazzy and Pingspikes, yellow's beyond loyal royal guard.
Each one, slayer of a king who fell to heresy, their oaths unshakable, fighting to the last man with their halberds and their strength. They did not enjoy the title of "Kingslayer," especially when it was their own king, but their duty to their kingdom came first. They prayed their highness will see reason within the afterlife.

This story was epic
Predstava 2°, He was charged since childhood to become the strongest warrior in the world, and it is no wonder, he bears in his name one of the strongest warriors of ancient times, and was forced to act as such
He never wanted this, he just wanted to live a simple childhood, but the world was in chaos, and he needed to fight for his kingdom.
However, not much time passed, and they began to charge him, as he was still level 2, while his army already had level 3 troops and several level 1 and 2 troops.
Predstava 2° always replied, "I'm letting my army grow stronger, because unity is strength" and things like that
But things turned ugly when his entire army died in the fight against King Muffinskill at minute 28:00, as he was the only survivor, he was branded a coward for fleeing the battle
Which only got worse, because right after, an army of beginners fought against the same army right after, and not only were they victorious, but Monkey Spectrazon converted his army to the red team.
Things turned ugly for Predstava, who was left in a city to recant the little honor he still brought to his people, and what did he do? He fled The battle protecting The City
And to make matters worse, he let Dvornik, the strongest warrior in the blue army, who was right in front of him, escape the battle alive in The minute 32:00
So they left him again to protect a city, and he who dared to flee from another battle
Meanwhile, his army and especially spectrazon, were getting stronger, and what Predstava 2° He did? He fled his city, "but there were 75 units, I wouldn't have a chance" IT DOESN'T MATTER, I PREDED TO DEFEAT MANY MORE WARRIORS ALONE
The reds decided to take some time to recover, and soon they would go on an expedition to defeat EVERYONE, but Predstava 2° He said it was very risky, many things had changed, and nothing was up to date recently, but who would believe a coward like him, they left anyway, and insisted on taking him "and you better start standing out"
They destroyed the pink and yellow armies and decided to separate from Nezumi, taking care of the newly dominated city while he defended his kingdom.
Predstava 2° He hated the idea, but who would trust him now? Nezumi even took the opportunity to summon a giant to his team, and that was when the red king, tired of Predstava's excuses, decided..
Call Ragnarok!!
Just to teach a lesson in Predstava 2°, But that was his biggest mistake, leaving him and Spectrazon alone to face an army of over 80 warriors.
"and you better not run away and help your fellow spectrazon"
His army was quickly destroyed, and he began to look for escape routes, but he was surrounded, but when he saw his friend Spectrazon, about to die, he ran to help, but it was too late.
Alone, against 15 warriors, he had no more hope, he could not escape, otherwise he would be severely punished, and so he decided to fight until the end, until the end of his life...
The rest is history, blue, which was barely highlighted throughout the battle, took advantage of the fact that purple and red were weakened after this battle and well, it defeated everyone

Maybe somewhere deep in his mind, he remembered the tales about his father and his hubris taking him down eventually. So he decided to act differently; to actually lead his squad as a true captain. But it seems he was not a "true captain" in other soldiers' eyes, mostly because of being careful and humble instead of bloodlust like others in the red army. At the end of the day, maybe exactly that was the reason he survived that long - and his dedication to protect (or at least avenge) his best (and most likely the only one) friend, moral support and spiritual lover spectrazon at the final days of longest lasting war in marble history, is revealing he really had his father's blood in his veins too.
@@predstavaI'm quite proud that your son was a better warrior. He may have died, but in his death brought many achievements for the Red Kingdom, plus they have the highest level monk and converted the most kings and Kingsguards like bro was playing Pokemon.

Honestly, so many good heroes, stories, and events in this one. My favorites have to be the two yellow kingslayers and nezumi. A little hard to notice thing was the kingslayers killing their converted king and the king of the attacking army at the same time, allowing their kingdom to function without a king for awhile. Then there's nezumi the Loyal, who stuck with their king til the end, converting to the red's without the use of mind control after their king fell to it, fighting alongside them even after their original king met their end
I could list many more highlights and mini story arcs, but this comment is already decently long. Definitely the best one yet
Truly the wildest battle yet!! Epic from start to finish! Even though it was an hour long, I watched it all in one sitting and gonna have to show my friends too lol

Really digged the new changes! The regular upgrades for the kings work well to ramp up the pressure as time goes on, and the crusade mechanic was awesome! It did seem to never work in their favour, but I blame red's bloodlust more than the mechanic.
Even though it wasn't scripted, this video had better story beats than most movies lol! The town that could not be defeated, the king comes out of his castle to deal with it, only to get attacked from behind and have it's castle destroyed. Red realised how good that strategy was and uses it many more time. The priest who will happily convert anyone, including a king and a bandit boss. And then for it to end with Ragnarok. Truly an epic!
Ye, i was like "whaaat? You can CONVERT BANDIT BOSS‽, THAT'S SO COOL, I CAN MAKE A LORE REASON FOR IT!!!"
Overall this has been the best marble kingdoms yet, the addition of monks makes you root for your favourite characters even if they are outmatched, and monks themselves can quickly turn the tide of battle.
I'd like to see archers improved somewhat? Like give them poison daggers/bows.
And also maybe add crossbowmen, that can fire a devastating high-damage bolt that pierces marbles on higher levels.

Damn, Borbonzolla really embodied the concept of the villain who becomes a pushover the minute they switch sides. They got what, 1 kill after being converted?
The King and halberd combo was almost unstoppable, like a spinning blade of death on the battlefield.
I'm thinking maybe adding some more neutral roaming units, like dragons or goblins.
Dragon: It can breathe fire from a long distance, and can use claw attacks at close range.
(It requires a certain number of troops to defeat it, otherwise the troops will be easily destroyed when encountering it)
Goblin: has a very low chance of being hit, and a high movement speed.
(When it exists in combat for more than 5 seconds, the goblin will have the option to escape)
If the Goblin levels up 5 seconds are definitely going to be too little. Perhaps 5+(5*level), so a level 3 Goblin can only escape after 20 seconds
Idea to make the crusade better and more desirable, instead of the king, it sends out a prince to lead the army, and if the prince survives, and the king gets killed, it becomes the new king, allowing the color to survive just a bit longer.
I think this is the first time a "neutral" (white) soldier survives and levels up so much, and I'm all for it. Glory to the great Linvala Hop, Protector of the Village. Rest in piece, my Lord, you will be remember.
You should watch Marble Kingdoms 8 then. The neutrals get way more crazy than this.

Alright, bit of feedback:
- The 'Crusade' event just guarantees a defeat, currently. I think the way to remedy this is to combine it with 'Add 10 Captains'. The King would embark on a Crusade with 10 newly-spawned Captains, leaving the rest of the army behind. This allows the intended effect of the King actively leading a powerful army, but doesn't leave the Capital undefended. The reward is a powerful army led by many Captains, but the drawback is that it risks the life of the King.
- Just as a marble who kills a King is labelled a Kingslayer, I suggest that a marble who kills a Kingslayer should be labelled "The Avenger". Helps with story purposes.
- Kings who defect to another faction should be labelled "The Traitor" or "The Faithless". Again, for storytelling.
- Ragnarok kinda sucks. I get why it's there, to keep games from getting ridiculously long, but it makes all the preceding events feel pointless - very anticlimactic. Instead, rename it something else, and have it destroy just 1 enemy town at random - Capitals included. A simple dice roll which would permanently alter the course of the war.

They remind me of the Orange Brothers from Marble Kingdoms 4, especially Linvala Hop -- strong vibes from the Legendary Yellow General from the same episode.
It would be good if every time a stronghold or castle is won, the time to charge soldiers will be less or the number of soldiers will increase. If a stronghold wins 5 matches in a row, it becomes a fortress. If the color has 3 castles in the shape of a triangle or more, a kingdom space will be formed, and any enemy color that enters it, the soldiers of that color will move to kill it, and their strength and speed will be increased, and the enemy’s strength will be weakened. If there is an enemy castle or stronghold inside the space, the forces will attack it to destroy it. It is possible to create several spaces at the same time and contain the same castles, and any stronghold or castle that is located within the space increases the number of soldiers, the speed of their charging, and their initial strength. The greater the number of castles that make up the space, the greater the given reinforcement (Google translation)

Predstava stealing thre Green castle while king went on a crusade made a nice story of 2 Royal Guards who lost their liege and became wanderning Ronin for a short while until the same red captain slain them
The story of Predstava II, Maxafur, and Ochala was epic.
Red converted two kings and destroyed pretty much everybody else while having a smaller army. 11 blue lucky ones survived, but it was the Red empire that made history that's for sure.
Gotta be humiliating for the blue team. First battle of the match and not only did the bandits drive them off, 2 of the bandits earned names.
Edit: Green king: "Fine, I'll do it myself."
After a half-year of watching MK it's still blowing my mind how perfectly random events can fit in the lore. Excellent work!
Is there any chance of sea actions? Like a naval boarding of two ships or dockyard battles?
SPOILERS DOWN THERE!
My favorite moments:
26:00 - Red monk Cobalt capture three cyan soldiers then retreats.
26:40 - Those traitors led red army to the almost empty cyan castle.
27:57 - Cyan King Muffinskill meets invaders, executes all traitors and the whole Predstava's squad. Predstava leaves the battlefield, Muffinskill and Nezumi are the only left from Cyan Kingdom. Revenge still awaits.
28:34 - Cyan clique attacks another red squad, but then got captured by Spectrazon.
Really like how Red army became actually multicolor army, just like a mercenary clique or something like that.
34:04 - That's actually the moment when THE YELLOW CRUSADE BEGINS. Also I haven't seen any monks in their army, yellow guys really don't appreciate them after they forced Pingspikes to kill his own king.
34:10 - Sinep Egral, Agobard vibes...

as a red fan thanks to predstava II and maxafur. These two singlehandedly carried our early game and destroyed multiple kingdoms. While Maxafur died pretty early on his contributions were insane killing multiple armies and cities

Anyway, nice addition to the series! It was an exciting marble war indeed but I wont spoil anything :)
Can we talk about yellows royal guards? They not only watch their king turn traitor on them and lost their friends, those two had killed kings and singlehandedly kept the yellow kingdom alive for most of the game by fighting off armies much larger than them alone.
Also the two heros of red the monk Spectrazon and his friend Captain Predstava II😅
I still think a second respawn circle/timer for castles that spawns a new captain/army at a third or fifth of the speed it spawns normal troops would be great (like a circle in a circle for castles). It could even be tied to the new "spawn mage/monk/etc" upgrades so they don't have to slow down the "minor" troop reinforcements. Plus getting a new mage/berzerker/etc for each new captain would be a neat way for a kingdom to possibly make a comeback.

I loved how the kingsguards would sometimes swing at their allies to send them across the battlefield.
Also the 'Rally' upgrade should check if a colour has a castle _and_ any conquered towns, it was unfortunate for the colours that selected it just for nothing to happen...

I think crusades need to give a big man power boost so that the kingdom doesn’t fall immediately after.
I really like the story of azygrazy and pingspikes duo.
They both were kingslayers and I imagine them being friends.
Unfortunately, azygrazy died while fighting magenta’s king and in a act of revenge,pingspikes killed magenta’s king.
And he then hunted down the last few survivors from the city and defeated them.
But then, predstava II and his troops found pingspikes and nearly killed him,before he ran away.
But the saddest thing is, predstava II and his troops bumped into him later and killed him,ending the story of the yellow duo.

Halfway through at the moment. Crusades seem to be the automatic kiss of death for a kingdom. Also some balancing issues when a lot of troops are built up in a castle. Example: purple at one point had over 70+ and went one town over and put all troops in small town rather than leaving some in castle or moving around to conquer as a large army.
But love, the times upgrade for kings, please keep that! Also love the bezerkers.
Positive:timed bonuses for kings, bezerkers, monks/priests!

The kingsguards being kingslayers very often is so ironic.
Even more ironic, one of them got the title by killing their own king after they defected

Those yellow axe brothers(yes I’m calling them that)were a great gruella fighter group and one even managed to kill the pink king,there definitely my second favorite in this series.
I feel like a Crusade being added needs to have an option for a color to take over a city so that it doesn't guarantee a kingdom dies from the event.
Aside from that every option and tweak to the features REALLY made this more interesting to watch. Well done all around

Props to Pingspikes for avenging the only other fighter to match his strength. Killed the pink king, and chased down the last pinks not just once, but twice in a row just to make sure they were *not* going to come back.
Can we get a shoutout to dvornik the spearman or should i say the master tactitian?
He spawned in (27:10) , won the battle he was in so he got promoted to command a small army. He then targeted two bandit camps with surgical precision (29:22 and 30:10) , giving his kingdom some additional boosts. After getting into battle against nezumi he knew he had no chance after a few seconds (31:58), he ran away and bided his time until the apokalypse to get his revenge by knowing exactly what battles to take, staying out of the big fights, strenghtening his army with another bandit camp instead (52:25).
Then he took out the last of purple, when they were weak enough to defeat easily (55:21)
In the end he took yet another camp in the last second to bolster his forces enough to take out nezumi easily (55:59). He even was the guy who boxed in nezumi stabbing him in the back for his army to secure the win.
Also he exclusivly fought by staying far behind the action only taking cheap shots when he saw an opening.
In a book he would be the bad guy slaying the hero. Perfection
I saw this 5 min after realese, watched this, and i'm glad to see my previous suggestion was took as an idea, not for hammer user, but i now see how OP that idea was, cause most powerfull and protected units - new king guards. Yet I had a blast watching it, and of course will wait for next episode. I also love new damage showing system, new King upgrades and Monks especially, cause these guy's can turn powers of sides in a moments. Shout out to Unnamed fighter 570 whos sacrifice gave Spectrazon the opening they needed to become the Kingtaker and earning their name. Also wild to see a marble make the leader-board without even leveling up.

The two sword guys are the most powerful, at about 35 minutes on killed nearly twenty other marbles in a row.

Thus far, the Red Kingdom has managed to convert 2 kings from other kingdoms, as well as their Kingsguards. And let us not forget that they managed to convert a Berseker from the Grey Tribes and they have the highest level monk in the series.
Ironic that the last from the Reds....is a Converted Cyan, who is a Kingsguard that is a Kingslayer.
I'm still quite proud that predstava II is a better warrior than the one before him. He died in honor and glory.
Lets pray for Predstava III to be on the level
The inclusions of halberds as a new weapon is certainly interesting. It adds a new style to watch out for when in battle.

I really like the idea of the crusade. Of course it should be balanced a bit so that it doesn't mean instant death for the kingdom, but otherwise it's great.
I'll say one suggestion. I don't know if you like it, but I think it would be kind of nice if the winning side could take prisoners after winning a fight. I imagine that there is a chance that the marbles don't die but are injured and can therefore be captured. Depending on the class and level of the marble, you could eventually recruit prisoners for your own army. There is a prison in the city where the prisoners are housed until they can be recruited. If one kingdom destroys another, that kingdom receives the remaining prisoners and can recruit them. I think this would bring in even more life and would make destroying a city even more lucrative. That was my suggestion and I hope you see it. In the end, of course, you decide whether it goes in or not. Thanks and nice video
