Aaaaand, LiPO batteries are not known to be very safe and never explode or caught fire or something like that you know, especially on such a top end brand like Parkside... @@Subgunman you can use a meter to see the maximum amperage the cells can give and determine the amperage in the fuse. if the battery can give 50amps a 45 amp fuse is just fine.

But if you only use tin without that wire then the fuse should work but it would be more sensitive I think I only used tin and when the battery was plugged it stopped working
There is still a lot of thin copper spores that will burn before the battery exploded. As long as there is no direct Short circuit its not gonna explode. And if you remove after use, it’s completely save.
NOT DO THAT!! The metal sheet is a current sensor in order to protect the power pack. If you try to add some solder alloy on it you will reduce the internal resistance and the short circuit current will be higher. Danger of Li Ion batery explosion!!!

@ And I think it's an ordinary fuse, just like the ones found in cars etc., protecting battery from going over it's C rating which can cause nice swelling at best and fiery display at worst. Typically Li-ion and Li-poly batteries charge status is monitored by their present voltage, not Amps usage. The only batteries I know that precisely monitor Apms used and Amps pumped in are DJI drone batteries which are helluwalot more expensive than Parkside.

BTW - fuse here is "repaired", not "modified". Solder used to bridge the gaps has much lower melting temp than material used for fuse so if overloaded, it'll blow again much faster than original, even if applied layer is a bit thicker. Just some basic physics you'll hopefully get after holidays end. No need to panic. And I don't have to "modify" or "repair" any of my batteries because I don't tend to overload my tools.

It's Li-ion so it's much safer than LiPo, but I agree with you anyways :) Repairing a fuse is never a way to go.

People it probably acts as a fuse but its a current shunt which the bms monitors and shuts tool off if detect fault maybe even low voltage to
soldering the wire is not a good idea. I soldered a 30A car fuse. It's is a solution.
this was a "romanian" solution. It is said that "where you can tie with wire it is a shame to put a screw"
How did you determine what size fuse to use? Seems a lot for the battery.
30A always blow up in mine i use 40A now its good.

Good fix,but i would not keep this battery in house or shed,fuse is gone,it could go on fire any time...
