i love the way alex takes like 20 minutes carefully selecting words to make sure he describes his thoughts perfectly and then matt just adds a little 'yup' at the end hahahaha

i really don't understand why everyone calls him an egotistical prick or disrespectful based on how he is during interviews it makes absolutely no sense

contrary to popular belief Alex is not always stoned he is just not good at interviews or stuff like that due to the fact that he hates the music industry as stated in "if you were there, beware" and many other songs of his. He doesn't care about fame he just loves music. And no he doesn't say that to seem cool and laid back. He just genuinely doesn't give a rats ass about the industry
Too be honest. He's just chatting a load of shit thats slightly relevant to questions and situation. IF you were english and drunk you'd understand
I dont think Alex is under the influence of anything, I think it's just the mix of his yorkshire accent and being bored of interviews (which I totally understand why)
He also seems to think out each answer every time an interviewer answers a question.

They just seem to always reinvent themselves. What the next one will sound like is anyone's guess. Great band.

He needs more than a natural amount of time to produce a proper answer, which makes him look a bit dumb. He's not dumb, though. A few years back he spoke so fluently. He sounded much more shy, but always gave smart answers.
