Very pleasant to listen to! Guess that the firm distinction between long and short vowels that is observed in Czech as well as its retention of a complex declension system makes it somewhat easier for Czech speakers to reach that level of fluency that for us Italians is so hard to achieve. No matter how good the Latin of a speaker of a no-case language is, you will always feel that he or she is struggling with the cases, as he or she mentally translates from the native language's prepositions to Latin's cases.
I like this pronunciation alot
I tried reading the Latin Vulgate from St Jerome and it sounds more like how this guy is speaking it than modern day church latin which has that funny Italian accent which I don't like.

This is not Latin! Listen Luigi Miraglia, he is speak fluently Latin!! His pronounce is anachronistic! I can't listen this.
latin doesn't have to sound italian, it's just that Luigi has a Italian accent that influences his latin. Try and read the Latin Vulgate Bible at a quick fluid pace and it doesn't sound Italian. It sounds more like how this guy is talking more spansih, more sexy. Not so goofy like that Mario and Luigi video game italian accent. BTW the Latin Vulgate Bible was translated in the 4th century when Latin was in popular use and closer those times of the Romans, compared to today's Latin if you read the popes encyclicals vs the latin bible.
A shit answer. Latin people doesn't speak like this guy! Exist a natural evolution of language, certainly ecclesiastical Latin is a natural evolution and not a reconstructed language!!
@@jeyjo325 Yeah the Catholic Church does have the genuine Latin because it evolved to this day with Italian language influencing the modern pronunciation and so when they speak or even read the modern Latin now, such as the popes encyclicals written in Latin it does sound like Italian, but like I said try and pronounce the more ancient writings in the Bible, speciafically the Latin Vulgate, like the Book of Genesis, and it'll sound more like how this guy is pronouncing Latin, and it would sound much like Luigi. I'm not saying Luigi is incorect, it's just that he's pronouncing more modern Latin, as opposed to the ancient Bible Latin.
@@jeyjo325 I see what you're saying now. He's using the "restored classic" pronunciation instead of the church pronunciation. Yeah I don't like how they changed the v into w and the hard c and g, but I do like how they don't emphasize an Italian accent to Latin. I don't like how modern church Latin has turned more into Italian than a distinct ancient language. That's all.
This is the Reconstructed Latin pronunciation, while Miraglia uses the Ecclesiastical Pronunciation. While it may sound off to unexposed ears, it is widely believed to be the closest pronunciation to that of the educated Romans of Classical times. In all technicality, Ecclesiastical pronunciation is actually the anachronistic one; no educated Roman spoke like that in antiquity. Of course, since there are no people that speak Latin as a mother tongue, their language's accents may often show and that is not particularly pleasant to the ears, in my opinion. But it is our best guess.

Per quanto possa sembrarci sgradevole la pronuncia classica è quella che più si avvicina a quella della lingua parlata dai romani in epoca tardo repubblicana e imperiale. Ascoltando una persona che parla latino vorrei immaginare di sentire un antico romano non un vescovo del XIII secolo.
