    Thanks for posting this. Drive over deck is the way to go for me!

    That kind of mower would not work for me with all the bending over. But the rear PTO mounted one is good. Y'all have a great week 👍🇺🇸

    Great video...I know it was posted 4 years ago, heavily researching the same sub compact tractor. Hopefully your still happy with it and its running well?!?! Can you shed any light on how you like the treadle pedal in regards of liking/not liking it? Pro, cons if it> I have read so many sides of the coin about each.

      Sorry for the delay, got a toddler running around so UA-cam is on the back burner unfortunately. I love my tractor, only reason I would get rid of it would be to trade up. Love the treadle peddle, it is very easy to use.

    Thanks for demonstrating mower deck removal on BX23S. I had never seen it done before.

      @@LukyNumbrKevin I have spent an evening, and the better part of a day watching you work that Kubota BX23S. I cannot believe how much heavy work gets done with such a small package. I was thinking I needed a B2301 or B2601 series for my house & bush camp. Those series are a little large for my 1 acre house lawn, but would handle the 3 km bush road & 4 acres at my camp. But they are larger to float to my camp 2 hours away compared to BX23S, and no back hoe unless optioned for. So many things to think about on your 1st tractor purchase. Kubota = Too Many Models to chose from. (lol)

      I love this comment, thank you very much! Whenever someone asks me how to choose a tractor I always go back to what my research told me after browsing forums and reading what the old timers had to say, "What will you plan to use the tractor for and how much land do you have?" Let me know the answer to this question and I may be able to help you along in the process.

      @@LukyNumbrKevin I have an acre of lawn at my house, an acre of lawn at my camp + 3 acres bush + 3 km single lane mountain road. The road was built by excavator I just need to maintain it. You have already demonstrated to ability of the BX23S to do large landscape work + mow the lawn. I think it will be a great first tractor. I also have an allergy to shovels.

    Very cool....I'm on the fence if I should get one. I have 2 acres, half treed lot, half lawn.....long driveway to plow, looks alot like your place. How do you find the tires? Do you prefer them over the turf tires? Worth the investment?

    • @LukyNumbrKevin
      @LukyNumbrKevin  5 років тому +2

      Hey goose! Thanks for the comment! I have 2.3 acres and it’s half wood so very similar to you. I picked the R4 tires because my lot is very muddy in the wet seasons and the soil is very organic, The only place where the tires kind of rip up the lawn when I’m mowing it’s on steep steep hills. And even then it is not bad. I would recommend the r4 over the turf.
      I’m not the right person to ask if it was worth the investment, I LoVE this Tractor and would definitely recommend it! I bought new so you get some depreciation just driving the thing off the lot, like a car. But their resale value down the road is what sold me as they hold their value well.
      Let me know if you have any other questions or comments, always happy to chat!

    Hi Kevin super great videos as I'm looking to maybe get me a BX23S and setup almost identically like yours as BXExpand is a must for sure as that is a wonder attachment for sure as I just last year sold my NH TC3DA w/loader/BH/BB/ Grapples and Forks to which was a great machine. But I recently retired and needed a truck again so gave CRV to grandson (got me F150 again) as now not traveling 2 hours(120 miles) a day to work. Missed it a month after letting go big time but was a little more than really needed since clear most of my land. BX23S is going to fit perfectly as just have couple of questions. 1 did you go for 54" deck over 60" for width fitting better inside tractor width than 60" which may stick out making cutting more movernuable between trees or other things? 2 What attachment are you using for leaves as I have oaks that shed like crazy? Thanks for great videos as this one was great example of the BX23S and to how it works and storage area taking off attachments.Which speaking of that that mower deck is super heavy and the wheel turning is a good idea but soon as I find the video I'll send you a link to a better solution to me as when you get older like me you don't want to be lift that heavy stuff and there is a solution to make working on the deck storing and moving it. Will send link here soon as I find them as had to delete history and have to go find them again. Thanks again and be safe as hope Covid stuff ends soon as then maybe I can look at getting my BX23S and all the attachments as I had before which I couldn't use anyway as BX23S just wouldn't be quite enough to handle grapples and other attachments I had. Oh did you get the 3RD FUNCTION VALVE as well? Found links for deck mod and moving/storing/servicing. ua-cam.com/video/tx0a5PiWYt0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/SBsw5jhrxTQ/v-deo.html

      Ahhh thanks for the kind words and the Tip, I have seen the deck dolly but right now I would rather spend that money on new implements. I am lucky to have the space I need on my property to store all my attachments in the garage. Let me know if you would like to see anything in particular.

    would be great if Kubota could devise a system to turn mower deck wheels without unpinning/pinning which is a pain.

      Yea I have been thinking about trying out a D pin and clip that would make the switches a bit quicker

    How deep is your garage to be able to store both loader and backhoe unattached and still park the tractor? Just bought 6 acres and will build next year and am considering the same setup.

    • @LukyNumbrKevin
      @LukyNumbrKevin  4 роки тому +1

      24' deep by 25'-6" wide. and those are inside dimensions.

      LukyNumbrKevin will do. Right now I’m most curious about the quality of the cut with the deck. First and foremost it has to mow nice as that will be its primary function for me and no one seems to talk about it. After that, I’m most curious about the loader, backhoe and tilling ability, and you’ve hit all of those well. Subscribed about 2 weeks ago and looking forward to more content.
