When you had war with persia. you could just ask war goal for persia become your protector. it is cost only 30 infamy and in start of game all countries have bad realtionships with persia, so it is easy protectorat. very powerful and very easy
It might have been a good opportunity, but I'm pretty conscientious about not going over 25 infamy, especially in the early game when I'm stuck at Line Infantry for my barracks primary PM. That said, I get my protectorate over Persia in pretty good time as the game goes on.
@@degencatgaming I get it, but to clarify: nobody will go to war with you. The reason you're stating you don't want to go over 25 infamy isn't actually a problem for Russia making Persia a protectorate at game start. Nobody will defend Persia, and nobody will declare war on you, so you just wait a year and you're back down under 25. The only real downside is a small penalty to your influence while you're infamous, and the Kazak protectorates will reduce their liberty desire ever so slightly less for that year, but you're still able to complete the Kazak journal entry no problem. You can test it on a fresh save to see for yourself, you can take Persia at game start essentially for free. Shoutout to the Roleplayers though, I don't know how much it makes sense for Russia to blitz Persia in 1836, historically speaking that is, but it sure is easy lol!
@@johnteixeira1791 In my experience Britain usually protects Persia if Russia tries to grab them as a protectorate, or vice versa, ever since the rework of the AI to be more aggressive. Maybe it's different in 1.7, but I wouldn't know since this is my first 1.7 run lol. In any case for this run we get our Persian protectorate in I think episode 5.
@@degencatgaming Perhaps it has to do with the aggression setting? I usually play with the default so if you're playing with the increased aggression that's probably why we see a difference.
I'm not gonna make an organized push for communism, but if it happens it happens. I'm gonna kind of deliberately not solve the social problems of the country and we'll see what kind of mass movements coalesce in the late game as a result of that.
WOO! A second series! I can't wait!
