[PSO2:NGS] Malignant Dark Falz Aegis Solo (

It's been a while since my last upload.
Because of how dumb it was to get BIS the past few months, I wasn't able to do much TA, outside of personal goals. Getting gear gapped by whales/rich people felt really frustrating and it impacted my motivation quiet a lot.
And even now that I got my flugel abandac, I'm still gear capped by other players because I don't want to support SEGA's really aggressive monetization by whaling on scratches to get the S caps needed for abandac's optimal build (I'm missing around 1.5% potency due to that), and I also don't have a blastor weapon for pbs because it's still way too expensive for me after getting my abandac.
If I had true BIS, I could have prob aimed for sub13 tbh, but this game is getting dangerously close to p2w rn, or at least to a gacha game to be less extreme, and I really do not want to support that.
Anyway, I've been practicing DFA since it came out. I REALLY REALLY like this fight. I didn't have an abandac flugel/tisah, or any "good" weapons when it came out, so I wasn't able to get an early clear, and I saw no purpose to uploading a half ass clear when I got my abandac 5 flugel 2 weeks ago. Though I got very very close to clearing on melek term5 before Lux came out (basically less than 5seconds away), but I had to give the melek back to ivu since he let me borrow it for a pretty long time already lol (thanks ivu). I could have cleared with Lux easily on melek term5, but I was already kinda sad of not getting it without lux, and decided to move on.
Once I got my flugel, I got 14:06 first try, then sub14 on second try lol, but the run didn't look good at all, so I kept practicing for a bit, and after some practice (and duos with ivu), I managed to get this pretty good run.
There's still a few mistakes here and there, but it was kinda clean overall, and the crit rate was really good overall, despite not critting that much on pb and overdrive.
The biggest issue with my current setup was being able to connect both pb and overdrive before dps check, while maintaining high dps. For that to happen, I need a very good combination of attacks, while also using my first overdrive early in order to get it back in time for my pb. This was pretty much the only source of resets in this quest for me, once I passed dps check, I usually completed the run.
During dps check, I use an evolcoat to build pb faster, so I can line up pb and overdrive together easier. I can break the dps check ball, but I barely get it, and I'm not saving that much time, it's way better to use evolocoat to line up pb and overdrive. the only downside if that it kinda mess up my dps meter lol, but I got used to it, and got good markers anyway.
At the end of dps check, I swapped to codeck to tank the explosion.
During red phase transition, I swapped to floor gear because rocks don't take potency into account. i had to modify my floor unit setup to have 20 different augments because of abandac.
At the end of rocks phase, I used overdrive right away. Sometimes I can keep it for the entirety of the laser phase, and still get overdrive back in time for break, but sometimes it doesn't line up correctly. In this run I made the right choice of using it early.
I could maybe fit a pb right after rocks if I had 5/5/5 orgsys, but again, another gear issue that I can't really fix (I farmed leciel for days, and managed to get 2 orgsys 1 that I had to level up, but I don't have any boosters left which sucks).
I kinda threw by misstiming my pb, and losing 4 hits of it, but I don't think it mattered in the end because of the last attack I got.
The head phase was kinda unlucky, if I got even a single more crit on pb, or if my overdrive was a crit, it would have been 13:28.
Outside of those things, this quest is fairly "simple", and is all about execution, good decision making, and ofc moveset rng and crits. Thought despite all that, I found this quest really consistent once my gameplay was set. All my runs were sub14, and the time didn't fluctuate that much, which felt kinda weird.
With my current setup, I could probably get low 13:2x if I keep going. I might do that later, but for now this run will do. i want to try and get cleaner purple runs, because my ael and ret clears are kinda bad rn lol.

You could go to 20 using lux halphinale S or Grand Dread Keeper S, but those were locked behind a 150 dollars paywall during the new year scratches.
You could also get to 20 using Gladia Soul LCS, but this capsule is limited to the sg treasure shop, and is very very rare.
My build is the best I could do without spending money or being lucky with gladia LCS, but it's far behind what a whale could achieve.
Also good luck with solo! With the level 85 increase, it will become easier to get a first clear 👍
