When idol groups prerecord they sing their song while standing still, then dance to that. Since he's not dancing at all, I'm 99% certain live would sound almost exactly the same. However, he doesn't really get the choice of singing live on m-net. The way M-net works is they don't allow the artist - any artist - to sing live almost at all. They have a minimum requirement for prerecorded/studio vocals. Either way, he's an amazing singer live and no one can dispute that. I can't wait for a live performance from kbs where he won't have those restrictions.

Honestly, Jaehwan is such an underrated vocalists, he has always been the most stable since VIXX's debut, he sounds exactly the same as in the studio version while singing live. I'm sad that he didn't get a solo album previous to all this mess, so he could enjoy the fans cheering for him. Ken was born with autotune included 😄 His live's singing is exactly like the studio's version. He even earned the nickname as God of recording, proving that this man is amazing dan talented singer. I think, Ken was really busy with his musical projects so he barely had time to produce his own songs and when he had to enlist in 2020, he had to make his first solo album and eventually he had to work with several composers and arrangers. As you can see in his solo album, he only made one song together with his bestie. I think Leo, Ravi, and Hyuk could make their solo album faster than Ken's because they produced their own music first. Maybe Jellyfish want to make them independent as musicians.
@@lana2295 I think Jellyfish has given them the freedom to do so if they wanted to, like look at Ravi and Leo, for example, and if you're following Verivery on road to kingdom, you see the groups have a lot of freedom towards the directions they want to move their music in performance, which at the end makes them more independent, and have a clearer sound more leaned to what they really want to do, which I think is great.
