Their face flanges help their call during mating season to travel farther is my understanding. Also they have a variety of sounds they make. Fear, sad, mating, etc.. I hope to one day see them in real life outside a zoo. There are a few places I've found from researching. It's the one thing above all else I really want to do on my bucket list.
