- Does anyone else with school-going kids think the amount of work put on the parents can be so overwhelming? and now with all the added tech stuff that is supposed to make it all easier ends up making it all harder!

I went on a biology trip to Kew Garden's and a little squirrel climbed up my friend. She gave the little guy an apple and we just watched it nibble away at it. It was honestly such an adorable sight to see. 🥰

Anna,I so agree I am a teacher and our school really tries to keep homework minimal and age appropriate.The online homework is crazy ,we know students do better writing by hand as it creates better memory neuropathy and.Homework folders are still made we can print the paper.

Sometimes people can be very self righteous and judgemental in their religious beliefs unfortuneately. Primary school kids shouldn't be getting homework on the weekends, plenty of time for that later on.

Just tell them, your internet connection is bad!.. I can't ever remember doing homework in infants and junior school. I would be up and out with my friends playing all day... life for kids then had so much freedom!!.. can't ever remember kids going to any after school club, when I was young either... kids are rushed to so many activities today.
Hurting people in the name of religion is wrong. It reflects more on the person than the religion.
I'm a Christian which is more a relationship with Jesus Christ than a religion. He has gotten me through a lot of hard times in my life. And I believe he's coming back soon
As an educator in the USA. I do feel bad about sending multiple messages in a week. It’s important enough for me to send them but I realize parents (everyone) is extremely busy.
It’s tough when parents later come back and say they missed a registration for their child and it’s too late to register since they weren’t reading their messages. Or, they are surprised about reading their child’s bad behavior at school when a bad report is sent home via email or by paper.
Then, I have to call parents. I can do that but it’s easier to send school messages home via a school text platform.
We use Class Dojo at my school. I’m the music teacher at a performing arts school. We are super busy all the time. 😂
It sounds like you are doing awesome. Don't get discouraged. I am a Tutor in the US too (Atlanta Georgia) and it's hard to please all parents at the same time as pleasing their actual Teachers. Lol
I might have to look into watching "Sins of Our Mother." It looks interesting . Yes, people absolutely use religion for evil. I wasn't raised with religion, so it's always been kind of a foreign thing to me (and I'm not interested in pursuing organized religion; I'm happy the way I am 🤗).The online learning thing does sound rather complicated! 😟😟😟 Continued love and health to all from across the pond!!! 💜💜💜

I totally agree with you on the Religious conversation. I describe myself as very spiritual but not religious. I think there is so much beauty in the worlds religions but they can also be very evil. I was raised in the Christian church but I would never ever identify as Christian because I don’t agree with a lot of their core beliefs ( for example: reincarnation, the belief that Jesus is the only “right” way, the belief that all other religions but theirs is wrong and “idol” worship, the belief that being gay is a sin, the belief that a person that takes their own life is just in “hell” forever….I could go on lol) To me that dogma is cruel and controlling. And there is a lot of evidence that contradicts those beliefs…. Just one example is researching evidence for reincarnation around the world. All around the world there have been children that have remembered their past lives and given facts about that life that they would never be able to know….. I could go on and on about this topic lol. 💙

I am feeling sad though, and part off it is because off a cousin! You see, obviously it'll mean my mum is an auntie and I feel like I've lost her because suddenly I have to share her and I've been sad because off it being used too me and her and now I have to share her and I have two mums my birth mum I rarely see 😢❤️

I can totally understand how that could feel like that for you, if it helps even just a little, your mums love will just grow and you and your cousin will 100% both get all the love from here. It will always just be you and your mum and nothing will ever take away that feeling or those memories. Maybe make a special day each week to do an activity together so you still get time just you and her ❤️

I feel lucky having 2 mums but it's worse bc I rarely see my birth mum 😔last time was last month:(( so it makes it sooo much worse knowing I rarely see her 😢😢it's hard becus she sees my cousin more than me and that the main reason why I'm so sad and cry too sleep becus I rarely see her but my cousin does😢❤️

my youngest daughter is 6 and her school keep homework to the absolute minimum my oldest is 16 and I can honestly say its all independent work luckily, having looked through her work books I wouldn't have a chance of helping😂
