I've never thought of demon homelessness before. You've provided a valuable service to those of us who were unaware of this.
Yaaasss😂😂😂
We gotta do something about this. Those poor demons. I'm starting a go fund me to house these poor spirits. No demon left behind foundation.
I once worked in a soup kitchen for homeless demons. It was, appropriately enough, in Hell's Kitchen (before it got all gentrified; now they're forced to hang out in the garment district, or Times Square hoping to pass for costumed characters). One night a very charismatic demon came in. After I served him up a helping of human misery (donated by some local dentists), I noticed him watching the old TV in in the dining room that someone had donated a few nights earlier. It was playing the 700 Club and I could see his glittering, evil little eyes light up.
That charismatic demon was none other than Kenneth Copeland. True story. And the rest, as they say, is history.
EXCELLENT!!!😂🤣

Interesting. I haven't heard of them growing up here at all. Did you see the guy who is a reporter going into the haunted museum and was there to talk about his experience? He kept on bumping into things? I couldn't help but giggle but I really knew he didn't mean to and we ended up talking to eachother about it. The museum is so cluttered that I told him at the time as I was giggling that I would have easily done it myself. As expressive as I am, forget it. That's part of the reason it made me laugh when he did it. They had said anything you touch the evil can go into you. It was really something. Him and I really related to eachother. I have to admit I also laughed at the priests responses. That got me going too and take it from me, (I grew up Roman Catholic which I have nothing to do with now) think about it; to hear his responses to where I cannot tell you the words that can express myself and the surprised feeling at the priests responses. It made me laugh but also left me very confused.

I love how all therapist-psychologist types of people are socially awkward and also comedic geniuses. My wife would be one of them lol
In fairness, Ed and Lorraine Warren many times stated that most people that came to them had a mental illness and only around 10% were legitimate hauntings / possessions of people. The Warrens explained the procedure for possession several times - first, they would assess the likelihood then, there would be a psychiatric evaluation assessment carried out, often by several psychiatrists which Ed noted, also often included a skeptic. If all psychiatrists could find no mental illness or logical explanation then, a priest would test the person for e.g. knowledge that was impossible for the person to know, for example, something about the priests own personal life. If they passed these tests, only then, would an exorcism of a person go ahead as the Catholic church knew there were very few legitimate cases they would deem 'possession' as the Warrens also made clear. In Ed's words, for house hauntings, often it was simply problems with plumbing when they visited and not a haunting at all!
@Carter Watch, thanks for adding this. It's important to be skeptical and the Warrens (in my limited experience) did encourage it in reality. Sound bites may suggest otherwise, so this is helpful.

I'm a paranormal investigator and also a paranormal skeptic. There's lots of money hungry people in this field and just plain histrionic people.
Same situation here. I have a background in psychology and whilst my specialty area is forensic psychology, I also have an interest in parapsychology and have been involved as a paranormal investigator over the last few decades. Whilst I would describe myself as intuitive, I value utilising scientific methodology and approaches to any type of paranormal investigation and have quite a degree of scepticism about paranormal claims which is, in part, due to both the people who work in the field and many of their clients.
Unfortunately, the field of paranormal 'investigators' is replete with fraudsters who are both hungry for money and fame, and many of the individuals who allege that they're experiencing problematic paranormal activity are in need of psychological intervention and help. Any good paranormal investigations should have a psychologist they refer people to if not who is a part of the team who ensures that before any actual investigation goes ahead that those potential clients undergo a thorough psychological assessment. Whilst having psychological conditions does not rule out the validity of paranormal events, there are unfortunately a large number of people who have histrionic personality disorder and are seeking attention by contacting paranormal investigators. There's also a large number of individuals who have schizophrenia, whether diagnosed or not, and whose mental illness is behind the matters they've attributed to paranormal entities. Unfortunately the Warrens never seemed to recognise the importance of having those who alleged paranormal events being assessed by a psychologist similarly to the requirements and guidelines laid down by both the Catholic and Protestant churches in regards to becoming involved with anything allegedly paranormal.
My information about the Warrens to date indicates a fair degree of fraud similar to the example of having the woman who lived in their upstairs bedroom apparently dress up in a white sheet to be filmed by Ed Warren and thereby passed off as the so-called "White Lady", a film which was met with criticism by otherwise fairly open-minded people who were in the audience when Ed Warren first showed it to them and who saw it was clearly fraudulent. The woman who said she was asked by Ed to put on a white sheet for that video is the same woman who alleged that she had the upstairs bedroom in which to carry on relations with Ed and with the full knowledge and agreement of Lorraine. That woman was the same one who alleged Ed Warren got her pregnant, that Lorraine convinced her to have an abortion due to worrying about the Warrens public image if Ed's affair over many years with essentially a minor he'd adopted not to mention her becoming pregnant were to become public knowledge, especially as the Warrens liked to portray themselves as devout Catholics. That woman also alleged Ed Warren was abusive towards Lorraine both physically and psychologically and whilst that has less bearing on the validity of the Warren's paranormal claims, it does seem that Ed was the dominant individual in both their marriage and when I have seen him on quite a few television interviews he actually comes across not as the calm and cool person Dr. Grande seemed to be describing but often as belligerent, threatening, accusatory, and highly aggressive. That alone made me think that there was something to the allegations that he subjected Lorraine Warren to both physical and psychological abuse.
In regards to the investigations the Warrens apparently were involved in, the Warrens almost inevitably claimed demonic entities were infesting houses if not also oppressing and, at times, possessing individuals. Whilst I do believe there are possible demonic forces, I think the fact the Warrens seemed to almost always claim whatever they investigated was infested by demons undermines their credibility and it puts many of their claims under scrutiny. The Warrens also were willing to have writers about cases they were involved in exaggerate and even make up details such as for the book about the Amityville haunting.
All these matters along with some videos made by Ed Warren that seem to be clear examples of deliberate fakery and the fact that the genuine paranormal investigators and parapsychologists that I have known and know don't tend to exploit either the cases they're involved with nor the people who allegedly have been adversely affected by apparent paranormal events makes me somewhat wary of the claims by the Warrens. Unfortunately the combination of the films "based upon" the Warren's paranormal investigations and claims and the channel run by Tony Spera which promotes the Warrens as authentic and honest paranormal investigators and quickly deletes any comments that politely question the Warrens means many people believe that everything in the films was true and that they were honest in their many claims whether in books or talks they gave.
@@Adara007 I've always had an interest in the paranormal but from the start I was always wary about the Warrens. I suppose the fact that they were making book and movie deals made me wary. It's something you just didn't see other paranormal investigators doing back then - heck even now I'm extremily skeptical of paranormal shows and 'big' book deals.
The thing that sealed it was when I tried to read a book of their's and their claim that they knew exactly what every haunting was *from the start*. Paranormal investigation is very, very rarely cut and dry. There is a lot of unknown about the field. Currently, the field is akin to the mental health field a hundred years ago. Basic understandings of why some techniques may work and what may be going on but nothing solid that can be held up to skeptics. No real conclusive way to test mediums too; individuals who could be deceived or deceiving. And it was even worse when the Warrens first started!
@@Adara007 thank you so much for your comment, it was very informative :)
A paranormal skeptic. Quite the contradiction
@@smoshbooz You have to keep an open mind with this work. A lot of ppl have overactive imaginations but there are a lot of unexplained incidents that those suffering from have every right to an investigation of.

Thank you for this analysis Dr. Grande!!!!!! Great video
Dr. Todd Grande, I would love to hear your perspectives on Carl Jung in some way, maybe an overall analysis of his personality, or contributions to psychology with his concept of Individuation.
Carl Jung actually had spritual visions and understood the deep connections all humans have!
( If I remember correctly he had profound spritual experiences in a hospital bed)
He called syncronicities the Acausual connecting principle!
Some would label these events as miracles!
He taught that all humans were undergoing a spritual process that culminates in wholeness!
That is, no more psycological split of an ego and soul.
When the ego is transcended a human becomes authentic!
Individuation is a poor explanation to describe ego transcendence.
At ego death a human expands beyond any conceptual identity and experiences oneness with all that is!
A person understands that we are all undivided conciousness or what some may call God!
Individuality is an illusion only necessary to play the life game!
I’d like to hear Dr Grande on Freud as well. Good suggestion.
OK, now you need to analyze M. Scott Peck, psychiatrist and author, who came to believe in demons and exorcism.
Yes

oh, this is gonna be juicy
The sarcasm is strong in this one. Lmao!! 😂
This put me in the mind of Mike Warnke. Long story short, the youth minister at my church took us to see Mike Warnke several times in the 80s. Warnke was supposedly deep into the occult, but had become a born again Christian and he worked with the FBI and other law enforcement to bring down organized devil worshipers. His speeches were extremely graphic, especially when it came to child sacrifice, and 1000s would be at these gatherings, The religious establishment would have forbade these explicit descriptions of child murder if it were fictional, but for some reason it was fine for us as preteens to listen to this guy on stage presenting it as fact. I will give myself a little credit, because although I was young enough to believe what adults told me to believe as far as religion goes, I was a budding historian and he made several claims about his service in Vietnam that did not add up. It turns out I was right, but pretty much everything else was a lie too.
In short, Warnke was exposed as a complete fraud. I brought this up with a friend years later, this friend became the director of a well-known Baptist church camp in NC, his reasoning for the lying was that it did not matter because Warnke raised awareness of Satan worshipers and child sacrifices. My friend does not accept that we were in the middle of a national trend on occult mania and it was not real.
Always enjoy Dr Grande’s analysis
This video, actually, can be shown in a course of Demonology as 'First world problems Demons face.'
