I had 5 pet raccoons throughout my childhood. They are fascinating animals. We never locked or caged them up & when they were old enough to leave & find a mate they just left. They’d come back occasionally…. But we were always careful around them because they weren’t the same pets anymore.

We had ducks. They would swim in the bathtub in winter, then in the pool with us in summer months. They eventually grew older and joined the migration flock and flew south for the winter. Imagine our surprise when they returned in the spring and swam in the pool again. They did this for a few years as well.

You should extend you ground disconnect for the hydraulics so it hangs outside of the trunk when you are doing burn outs or just out hitting the switches. It will make it a lot safer if there is any issues with the hydraulics. Especially if the solenoids fry. It will save you from potentially burning the car down or ruining the hydraulic pumps. Welcome to the lowrider life. You spend a bunch of time fixing stuff all the time. But its so much fun when its running good. It is possible to do a burn out in 3 wheel motion. But be ready to adjust the suspension incase it is about to tip. There is a video floating around of a town car almost flipping when doing a burn out and barely recovers the car after it was about to flip over.

Also may want to look into a air bladder. It goes under the car, you air it up tight against the floor and the car so to not overwork the suspension while traveling in a trailer. Many racers do it who travel a lot. I’d imagine it would be a good idea while having hydro suspension. Every bump hit in truck and trailer is transferred to car in the trailer regardless of how tight it’s strapped down.

Battery chain saws are an absolute must have! Depending on battery life they offer awesome convenience and you only have 2 things to keep in mind. Chain tension and bar chain oil level. The only other thing you absolutely must do is set the top safety switch when you are not cutting because it only takes a short trigger press and you could to some severe damage to yourself. Good luck in Bristol!

You should really install a feeder at the DP ranch (also as I am typing this I am realizing that calling it the DP ranch probably sets the wrong expectations) so that even when you're away for a while the animals still get fed. Keeps them coming back, if they suddenly see no food for a week they're going to find a different place.

I've let a full-grown raccoon nap against my lap. It was wild. (He was huge and showed up out of the blue during the day. Poor thing had been in a bad fight. He stopped by every day and I brought him food and water, hung out with him while he rested next to me on my porch and then he'd climb one of my trees and nap. He eventually healed up beautifully and went on his merry way.) I had mama raccoons bring their injured babies to me, wild also. I've had entire wild raccoon families who would stop by just to say hi and give me high-fives. (Literal high-fives!😆) They'd also "sneak up" on me and try to steal my sandal off my foot. It was a weird, hilarious game they made up. Mama raccoons brought their babies to me and they'd play with me while Mama went and laid in my grass and slept. Apparently those moms thought I was a suitable babysitter. (Or they were just fed up with their babies.😉) Raccoons are fascinating and adorable creatures. I feel privileged to have been able to experience so many awesome things with them, especially since they were all wild.
