Idk about the rest of you Cardinals fans, but the brightest spot to me on this roster and on this new disappoting season has been young Nolan Gorman. Hes been so clutch this year and if thats a thing of signs to come im looking forward to it Sometimes things like this can get LOST with all the stuggles...
Come on Cards! This is the boost we need, our offense is finally getting consistently good but our starting pitching is still pretty atrocious. Hopefully this is the beginning of a nice winning streak. We go for the sweep tomorrow!
Flaherty continues to flounder and looks as if he has checked out. Offense is starting to get those clutch hits and walks at the right time, only 8 games back now! GO CARDS!
Who do you think taught him to keep his hand in on a pitch inside a drill it 440 feet? There's only one guy I can think of I saw do that consistently everyday for 11 years in a Cardinals uniform
He's got lighting bat speed cause that 440 feet didn't come from his upper body... his hands were far in, not extended like on a ball center cut. He's gonna have to hit the other way to keep that inside open as well
Day 2 of the Suzuki ⚔️ Nootbaar Samurai matchup! Suzuki couldn't capitalize on his chances today, while Nootbaar hit a home run and the Cardinals also won. I can't wait to see who will win the series tomorrow.
Happy to see Paul Dejong returning to the form that had Mike Shildt believing he was that teams future 3 hole hitter... before Goldschmidt and Arenado as it slowly came to pass thar he wasn't a 3 hitter, 4 hitter, or 5 hitter... this guy is all three that has come up from Memphis this time, looks the real deal
@@kofca7131 In this one, the home plate ump was really good. Idk about that balk the other day on Alzolay, a few bad strike out calls in the first game against the Cards, yes. But i just wanted to point out this umpire from last night's game, because usually we bash on the umps, but this time the guy was really good, including those two walks that scored runs for St Louis.
The Southern Illinois Rivalry make a Dubs-Cards series a lot o fun to watch. Steve and Harry really played that up on the day, and I look forward to these matchups with relish.
Same here! An old friend of mine, the oldest remaining one I still have not having old man eyes is a Cubs fan, he lives in Illinois. He used to live in st louis and his father took us to a Cubs vs Cardinals game in 2003 when they were both so good. A bird pooped on my shoulder? What are the odds? They were both wearing Cubs hats and me a cardinals hat. One of my fonder memories of him... drugs got to him and meth has a way of ruining what was once a very brilliant mind... Edit: I choose to remember who he was then instead of who he is now... only have seen him once since 2013
Idk how nootbarr is able to get that kinda pop on a ball that far inside and demolish it with that kinda power to send it half way up the stands at wrigley, this is why hes untoucable to me in trades... thats all bat speed right there and keeping your hands in like Albert Pujols? Wonder where he learned that from?
I'm a lifeling birds fan, but dude at the end said we picked up a game on the pirates..... let's worry about the fundamentals of baseball before looking that far ahead.
Another could-a should-a would-a close but no cigar game for the cubs. On paper it looks good to have 7 guys who can hit but they all hit at random moments then you end up with these "almost" type games. Honestly, i'd rather get beat by 5 to 7 runs a game than these close ones where we more often than not end up on the losing end because someone who was 3 for 3 grounds out in his 4th plate appearance with runners on and the guy who is 0 and 3 gets a hit with 2 outs and no one on.
Oh cardinals may have started off the season badly sure but this team can rebuild and climb back to the top he Blackhawks of hockey will get there too there’s one thing about nhl Blackhawks and St. Louis cardinals these teams will find a way to top and cardinals will win a World Series it’s just a matter of time
Rookie manager, now looking a rookie because he can't lean on skip, or Maddux, or pujols, or molina... finally made the adjustment and moved our new catcher to DH like all the smart cardinals fans were saying was going to happen when news broke of the signing on MLBtrade rumors? We all expected 1-2 years of Contreras being a catcher though... not 1-2 months...
The comments about him and the pitching staff being off the same page are fairly true. Whether he's responsible is not known, but it sounds like the team is working it out. Hopefully they fix it.
Kinda embarrassing you let us beat you guys our owner is the most selfish if we had a different owner our team would’ve been built to do great things but no we are stuck with a owner that won’t sell the team

Throw in Nootbaar in there as well.
Cards need to package up some of that log jam in the outfield and get a pitcher or two before the deadline.

I just love Noot because he's get on base a lot and he can hit bombs too! 🎉

Jack Flaherty really has to get it together if he expects to be paid like an Ace.
He’s not intimidating at all. What’s his plus pitch? Starters need at least two imo

Since we keep losing games, i just wanna point out the home plate ump. He was almost perfect in this one.

Flaherty - 5IP 5 walks, 7 hits. But but but I thought Contreras was the reason Flaherty?
I love how morel acts like he just hit a walk off in the World Series… sheesh 🙄 someone needs to tell him to act like he’s been there before…

Nolan Arenado and the St. Louis Cardinals wins over Patrick Wisdom and the Chicago Cubs, amazing victory! ⚾🔴⚪

Nice to get the series win against Chicago! Let's go for the sweep tomorrow! Let's go, Redbirds!

Yup. It's like the Cubs just throw everything they have in the early part of the game and then fizzle out towards the end.

If we can get a starting pitcher or two we could actually be in business
Another three game winning streak, and we might be out of the basement. It is looking better. 🤞🤞🤞🤞

What a Game!
Bring out the brooms! Good luck to both teams tonight.
7:10 - In deed it was. Golly, this was a fun game

Am I the only one that thinks they are using Contreras as a scapegoat
yes (and "they" are 3-0 since the decision to make him the DH, not catch).
