Dale speaks the truth. I did this exact same thing last spring. Called a pair of gobblers off someone else's property and across a road onto my property. ... It works!

Great advice! The biggest bird u ever called in was spot on to this situation. Hunted him for 4 years was always on land I couldn't hunt and finally one day I just told the hunter I was with on this day that this turkey will b here all day let's move on. We walked about 100 yards away and called looking for another bird we heard earlier in the morning and then went silent. About an hr later he gobbled again only this time he was on the move to us. We set up. The other hunter was in the wrong position so I told them to move so they could shoot to their left and instead of just sliding a few degrees they stood up and shifted as they were sitting back down the gobbler crested the hill 40 yards from us and took off. Running away I could see his spurs. He was a beauty. A week later I told my buddy how to hunt him and he rolled him over. Never found him. He said it was the biggest turkey he had ever seen also.

There is a bird near private land . Seen it strutting when we came in. Now I know what to do. There is also a big kitty somewhere as well so I think that is why the birds are so quiet.

I love this type of Gobbler. They teach us. Sometimes I leave him and come back 3 days or a week later.

I've done this personally and it's worked wonders especially when other gobblers are going off in the area.. just need to work on my patience and sitting still 😂

Great information Matt. Thank you for sharing your experience! Looking forward to your next video. Would like you to do a video on gobbler yelping and explain why or what would be the situation for using such a tactic.

    That’s good stuff Matt Dale.
I’ve been after turkeys for 27 years. I’ve bought some property and do good every year. But every year there is a gobbler that gobbles to my calling but don’t budge much. He’s on my neighbors neighbor 1500 yards away. I got permission on my neighbor which closes the distance about 800 yards. I do the same thing what you said but I don’t do it but once. I don’t keep doin it all day. We can hunt all day in Ky.
What you just said is patience is key.
I’m gonna try that this year at least one day. lol.
It happens every year though. I don’t know for sure but I may end up killin that bird every year that’s on neighbors but it’s later on in season. Who knows.
    Good tip though.

Gobblers are creatures of habit and they survive by being smarter and more patient than hunters. The only way to beat this sanctuary gobbler for me is to dedicate my entire day to him. Put outta your mind any other spot or turkey and it’s easier to outlast his survival routine.
I’ve only managed to do this successfully twice in 30 years and both times I came out with the gobbler over my shoulder. I did it one other time and missed! I actually enjoyed that one more than the other two times. Great video Matt. Ain’t turkey hunting great!

Yep. Some of my biggest spurred birds from similar tactics you are talking about. I've quit watchin many of these young know it all utuber turkey chasers because it's so irritating to hear them call so much. I've been at this game for forty years. Say what you want, but there are private land turkey chasers and there are public land turkey hunters!

Yeah,I have done this. Good way to get a Private Land Tom to become a Public Tom.
Private Land owners hope no one sees this video.
