I just replaced the coolant union valves and crossover pipe in my 2012 A8L 4.2 and still have a leak at the rear passenger side of the engine...I think this aux water pump could be the problem. Thank you for the video brother.

Hello, just wondering what the auxiliary pump does? Does it just circulate the coolant through through heater core(s) (not sure how many heater cores it has?? Or is there any other purpose for this pump? Mine has been faulty for a while now and I'm wondering if there is a risk anything got overheated or damaged if this pump doesn't work properly? I will be replacing this pump, just hopefully nothing got wrecked. Thank you

Yes if plastic trim is cracked need to be replace, otherwise water will go to cabin or will damage parts under, like abs pump or engine ecu. All best from Jan V8
Great video sir, you’ve saved me a lot of time and money since I’ve had my a8. I replaced my pressure switch but I’m still getting warm air. Fault code is “Sensor for refrigerant pressure and temperature Lower limit not reached G Fault code: B10C221” Do I need to recharge the system after installing the new sensor?
All depends if system is empty or not. If You mean once you take off old sensor and gas will come out answer is no as there is a valve to hold pressure inside a system. Good luck

Thanks, I had little heat in cabin, especially at low RPM. VCDS output tests said Refuaed by control unit - I tested my new pump on the cable with VCDS and engine running and it was not spinning either. I found that the issue was caused by me messing with long-coding and adding aux-heater a couple of years ago. I don't have aux heater, but wanted the ability to set a timer for ventilation in MMI. Ooops. At least I have. a spare pump now. I confirm this one works. Engine has to be about 50deg C before it spins up and cycles on and off.

I just did this fix. I also advice to clean out all of the leaves and muck from the area beneath the pump as mine was full 👍

Yes most of FL 3L tdi have as blue metering line issue.
