I love that you actually took the time and effort and matched up the fabric's pattern when you cut the pieces out. So many people don't, and it makes such a huge difference in the finished garment.
SOOOO I made this dress, following your tutorial, but I have much wider hips that you so i had to draft my own shorts pattern using shorts that fit me and made some adjustments. I also added understitching, and added a pocket on the size where there are no zipper :) Turned out amazing! for the fabric I used a tablecloth from amazon for 20$!
Thanks for this tutorial! I followed it using the same measurements and the bodice and shorts fit perfectly! The long skirt was a little too long because I am short, but I just hemmed it extra so it was an easy fix. It turned out to be the best outfit I have ever sewed, and I am definitely going to wear it to the movies. Thanks again!
Hello, it suits you very well short hair is very pretty. Also, your Barbie dresses are very pretty, you have a lot of talent in sewing...go on, don't give up! thank you for sharing all this with us your viewers😃
Could you PLEASE tell us not just the measurements, but WHY those numbers? Is this bc your bust measurements, or bust plus x for seam allowance, etc? Basically, how do we get the right numbers for ourselves? Ty!
I'm wondering the same thing as I'm about to attempt following the tutorial! Since we know she made this set to fit herself, I checked her measurements in the description against the ones in the video! For example, it says her bust measures 32 inches all around. The front of the top for the romper is 20 inches at the widest point, the back is 18 inches, which makes a total of 38 inches all around. Based on this I'm assuming the measurements in the video do include seam allowance. I'm a beginner to sewing so I don't know how to really deduct anything from this but I hope my insight helped!
@@kaspbrakieIm also attempting the tutorial! I’m a bigger girl so I need to change the measurements. I think the difference of the wide point for the bodice (the six inches for the bust measurement) is for the four 1.5 inch darts! That’s my best guess
I’m a novice sewer and going to attempt this for Halloween 😬🤞🏽thanks for the inspo and instructions! Also, were you following a pattern/template to determine measurements? We’re pretty close in size but I’m not sure how to alter the measurements so it’ll fit.
I like the idea of interchangeable skirts, but having a romper underneath means that to use the bathroom, you have to take off the skirt plus the whole romper. Lucky Barbie never has to pee but humans do, lol. I think I would do like a bodysuit lower half with a snap crotch.
Can you explain how to measure for the skirt part please. As in what width to cut. Were currently in Spring in the UK but as a newbie have aet myself a goal of making so far 3 of your outfits for our summer holidays/vacation. The curve on the skirt is so cute and l8ve the hat. Do you interface it? Btw im a LOT older than you but age is but a number 😅
Heyy~ally I'm sewing your empire waist sundress..could you clarify your chest measurement..and waist measurement... Did you add extra inches in those measurements?? Love your videos❤

I'm just in love!!! But what type of fabric is that you're using? Cotton?
I’m a novice sewer and going to attempt this for Halloween 😬🤞🏽thanks for the inspo and instructions!
Also, were you following a pattern/template to determine measurements? We’re pretty close in size but I’m not sure how to alter the measurements so it’ll fit.
Sooooo cute!!!!!
For those asking, she mentioned in the beginning of the video that she bought 6 yards of the plaid fabric. Prolly 5.5 meters (?) Hope this helps
Very pretty 😀
You make a pretty good job. 😉
So cuteeee! Did you add a sewing allowance to the measurement you shown to the screen? If so, how much?
