This is critical. Guys like to make fun of us who use full belt rigs, because none of the UA-cam Tacticool guys do, but on day 4 of the boog you'll be wishing you had one.
Wish they had this years ago, I built out a Eagle H Harness similar to Brent's a few years back and I love it, I'm sure this will sell well. Looks like a great option for anyone looking for sustainment.
Welcome to the belt kit .. Us British have been using them for ever.. They give you some much more than a chestrig.. Happy New year to you and the family 🎉🎉.. Atb from the UK..
That is an AWESOME rig, Brother !!! It's a great overall set up, that will allow you to do multiple mission load outs. I use the old LCE for my hiking, camping, scouting (with the Boy Scouts), orienteering, patrolling, reconnaissance, etc. It's like putting on an old flannel shirt...fully functional, brings back great memories, and is like an old friend - dependable. I have an "updated" rig that I have been trying out for the last year or 2, with the Condor Gen II "battle belt" and H-harness, and several molle pouches (of various types, interchanging them as needed or wanted), so it has been an "adventure", to say the least. I have looked into getting the Eagle H-Harness after watching one of your videos, and will be looking into this DZ rig as well. Thank you for the information and update on this type of stuff. Keep up the great work !!!
John, between your great chest rigs and the DG Rig it will round out my ability to react to any situation. Good point, it is a fighting system not a survival rig. Good video with a lot of good info.
This one looks really good. I have a Carcajou Tactical belt kit and it’s been fantastic! I’m sure this one is just as good, at a better price point, but I wanted the full customizable/scalable rig. Good vid!
I really need to get my hands on one of these. I've been playing with an ATAPS rig lately but something like a full on jungle belt kit would be amazing for my environment.
If you ride the belt higher, it sits at the waist instead of hips so you can take a knee with front pouches. Can't make most packs work, though. I dont see people comparing ALICE against PLCE on this note.
I do like me a butt pack for snivel gear, but this looks very comfortable. I really like the PLCE-style harness. Will be keeping an eye out for it in the next month or two! 🤙
This will fill a role for me. Was happy with my LBV / Alice gear that I took to OIF2, last couple years turned me into a gear q@r.😅 Looking forward to hopefully shaking some stuff down in Montana with Scout & Dolio in 2024. I sure hope that UW Gear guy has my Swamp Fox rig done before I head out there. 😉
DZ Rig well thought out - useful and functional. I like it. There's too many reasons to mention here to utilize this style of LBE. I prefer 'slick front' belt/harness style - always. If I need less I'll grab a purse. If I'm taking the time to put something on I like having a full complement of battle rattle - makin' and plugin' holes, water and a decent size waist/butt pack/GP pouch - that's it. Anything else goes in the 'Big Green Tick' or an assault pack. Like many - I've cobbled together several rigs out of mil-surp LBE - ALICE, LBVs, MOLLE - FLCs, Eagle harness systems, etc. (Notice I didn't mention PCs. They have a place - for me it's CQB/Urban environments with likely contact - like when the FBI knocks on your door.) The DZ Rig is likely much lighter than anything I have and looks very comfortable. I'm sure the price point is well researched. If I broke down my LBE collection to original configuration and sold it all along with my surplus packs on 'eBay' I'd likely have enough money to buy a DD AR15, DZ Rig with matching back pack and enough left over to get a pair of new boots! I'll bet once a few of these DZ Rigs are seen on the neighborhood LARPers they'll be in high demand. 👍👍
I think LBE style rigs are still a viable option. The counter insurgency fighting on the last 20 years in Iraq/Afghanistan wrapped US perception of infantry equipment.

What material are the pouches made of? Helikon Tex makes AR/AK pouches that take both mags without a struggle. Why these tight tolerances here? Why no buttpack alternative to the permanently fixed Utility Pouches on back?
you should check out the So tech rig, the rifleman set is a straight hitman setup. Your rig is bad ass, just got mine in multicam will be fun sorting it to fit my needs.
My question is were is there a spot for a pistol, i dont wanna wear a crotch rot thigh rig but i dont wanna remove pouches. Ive have a habit of wanting to mount a pistol holster on my hip. Im not military but i worked in private security and run my security belt in the a.l.i.c.e./lbe format
I just got one of these and am working on getting it fully setup. How do I properly adjust the ride position? Is it all user preference? Should the top of the back be at my lower back and front buckle near normal belt line under my gut or more in line with belly button?
Niiiiiiiice!!! I'd like to see an option where I can remove the center-rear pouch to be compatible with my Ruck, but that is solid (and glad it comes in US Woodland as all things should lol).
I have mentioned that I think and all molle base harness would be a good option to add to the lineup, that way it can be configured how the end user wants it.
@@AlphaCharlieConcepts Yeah for sure, I do like the pouches being stitched on for that bomb-proofness but some spots it's kinda necessary for modularity, 100%.
Nice setup! I find it interesting that our hanging gear is working backwards as fast as we can go. I hate to say it but maybe the conflict in Ukraine has waken many up to the idea that what happened in the GWOT is not total war. A good thing in my opinion.
I am absolutely going to have to get this when I have the funds. Had I known Diz was going to bring a kit he designed to market, I wouldn’t have bought my Jay Jays setup. I absolutely need those mag pouches as I hate Velcro, hate lids that don’t totally cover the mags on some kit like this. Any idea if the mag pouches can hold SR25 mags? Great review and video as always man!
@@AlphaCharlieConcepts Thank you for the info! If CF sells these mag pouches separately, they will be a mandatory buy for me, in God’s plaid of course. Thanks again and have a great New Year!
Have looked at DZ Rig and JayJays Gen 4 Commanders belt kit. Personal opinion, but JayJays belt kit is better. However, that said, love the 3 ways the DZ pouches can close.
I was sold until the point that the packs on the rear were sewn on. If they make a version in which I can put whatever I want wherever I want on the belt I'm not interested.
@@AlphaCharlieConcepts I keep a rip away IFAK in the middle back of my belt and other specific packs which I've had for decades. Sewn on GP packs means I can't run my rig the way I'm accustomed to and would need to change habits and load out. Not going to happen. I'd, also need a way to alter it to run a chest piece where I keep an admin pouch. Otherwise, I like the system.
Blue Jean Operator's video advertisement for this got me researching LBE. This DX seems way overpriced compared to a combat proven British PLCE rig or commercial version (KitPimp, JayJays, etc.) Surplus under $120, the commercial versions ~$220. DZ $350+?
The surplus versions are priced right, but the quality and minor details will probably be under the bar of anything from Diz or Crossfire. Meanwhile the JayJay's might list for that but once you price in the shipping to the US, it's roughly equal to this rig and you don'tget tuck tabs(which is the bee's knees). Moral of the story, when the DZ rig drops, buy it!
30 minutes of video and no mention of the materials used to make this. I've looked on the crossfire website, it doesn't mention it either, to be fair, neither does velocity systems. Is this nylon, is this 500D or 1000D Cordura? Because rigs like this for $300-$500 needs to be 1000D Cordura, otherwise you're fleecing people.
The cost of gear, is primarily in the R&D and actual manhours to make it, not the cost of the materials. For the record, the woodland and tiger are 1000D, and the others 500D. Eventually, everything will be 500D. There is no fleecing involved.
Have you priced a chest rig with virtually no real estate or materials these days? You’re looking at $200 with nothing more than a bikini on your titties.
They're really comfy. But I don't recommend belt kit to first time gear buyers because they're very niche relative to a modestly sized chest rig. They excel at short duration dismount stuff like a One Shepherd FTX. Threeish days and then back to camp. If it was 1930 and we walked everywhere with supply trucks following behind the infantry columns it'd be even more ideal. It's particularly amenable to working with MILES gear. No need to work around the sensors on your chest that were designed back when LC-2 kit was the norm. But for the average user I think putting your second line on the front of your torso makes it as viable to wear riding in the back seat of a sedan as it would be rucking 120lb over a mountain, and that flexibility is worth more than minmaxing body mechanics for ideal weight placement if you're not enough of a gear nerd to have multiple different clones of ultimately the same setup in a slightly different form.
The problem with this sort of gear is that it is never in stock, or extremely expensive. This looks reasonably priced, but my guess is you'll never get your hands on one.
Look at is beeing worn in the Ukraine/Russia war lbe load outs the gwat wars are ddifferent i believe the lbes will come back. There is one issue i see with this rig vs the british plce needs 4 of the sustainment pouchs not 3

Should really be the foundation for the majority of non mechanized fighters. The British light infantry know what's up, their plce setups are great.
@@CallofWar5 absolutely. Our last 20 years of riding in vehicles everywhere has been a disaster for light infantry skill.

We had something similar (snack wise) powdered sugar covered cookies with blueberries - man they were delicious
I agree with you John except for using a pack all the time every time but that's just a different in opinion and area of operations and plans

The question for me is...should I sell my Multicam Jay Jay's Gen IV PLCE to fund an American made version in M81 or not...very tough decision.
Depends on personal preference really. I think this is worth it as it improves on a few things. But that doesn't make the Jay Jays bad..
Yes. Be stronger.
