That's an average of 2,000 calories a day, sure--- BUT, the body doesn't work in averages. So, eating 7,000 calories ONE day, than only eating roughly 1,000 calories a day for the next six days will still get you to your weekly allowance of 14,000 calories a week, and will be of zero consequence to your weight. It's when you EXCEED your WEEKLY caloric allowence on a REGULAR BASIS that eventually leads to weight gain. Same rule's apply in reverse when losing weight. It doesn't just happen overnight. It takes consistently eating more, or less calories every WEEK to actually gain/ lose weight.
