I remember GLARING at the door windows from the inside on our ride into town aboard one of those units when brand new at replacing the SUBS and stuff .. they still appear as ghetto as they did at that intro way back (the rest of the car looked/s fine though)
brrrRrr my first ride on the Bronx el, the station had started swaying when our approaching train was two stations away, and this motion freaked me the fuck out because it was amplified by the time it'd reached the adjacent station, and thus unbearably so by the time it got to pulling into our platform ... probably wouldn't have been as bad had those stops not been five or six storeys high
Must have been filmed on the 17th September judging by the weather and there was no District line service although I'm sure the Overground was running normally.
Close but no cigar!...... lol The 17th was a Sunday and i was at the Telford Steam Railway that day. This was filmed on 21 Sep, a Thursday, when i was on my way to a bus/train/plane & real ale enthusiast's Weekly Wind-up held this day in Teddington (every Thurs is a different venue), filming buses and trains along the way..... But i seem to recall a lack of North London Line trains, probably another farce somewhere along the line.....
Oh wow is that an old poster at the end? Pretty sure the use of the phrase “though he does ensure that all doors are closed and locked before the train moves” would have to be amended these days to “they”

Nice
Going to miss the Class 455s.

all that ginormous shrubbery now between the District and the mainline inward from Richmond there
I remember when all the lines at Richmond were quite clean, as seen here ua-cam.com/video/rRFYfaioZuY/v-deo.html
brrrRrr I can imagine all that soot and grime and endless belchings when it must've been chuffers domain

Yes, it is a genuine poster from the early 1980s. It was found during refurbishment and preserved as you see here......
