We all go through periods like that in marriage. My husband and I have been married almost 11 years and trust me, there are some days where it’s tough. But with God, it’s the only way it works. 💯💯💯

Love the podcast! Big fans of y’all. I think one suggestion for relieving stress about the house is to have a family/friends unpacking party. I think since you have some many people around you, you could have a moment to celebrate 🎉with this event! Everyone can unpack and Sav can organize and adjust!

i sooo relate when sav was talking about letting go and just trusting God with your relationship... just to not get so hung up on how you think everything needs to go because God has it planned out... i so needed to hear that since i'm in a similar season right now that you guys were years ago in your relationship... thank you. this encouraged me greatly, thank you ☺

I enjoyed this perspective it was like I was watching both of you converse to each other at a different angle. I was looking right directly at Savannah or Josh. So I really do appreciate a diff side and this was actually a really good podcast starting off. And not too much on the set up, it was actually pretty dope. It was almost like a humble beginning lol

Josh let Sav get a new table lol also I had my dad as my basketball coach and I hated it because seriously anything I missed at a game we would go out and practice every night after dinner lol I know he was trying to help me improve but he didn’t know I hated basketball and only played because I knew he absolutely loved it and my brothers were too old to play anymore and my younger brother was still to young so I said I wanted to play … once my younger brother was old enough I tripped and “sprained” my ankle and never played again 😂 now I’m a sports mom and I love it so much like the highlight of my week is watching my son’s football, basketball, baseball, and track meets ❤ it’s so different watching it through your child’s heart and eyes! My son seriously shines when he’s on the football field or when he’s pitching his 7th no hitter game of the season ❤ love you guys and your talks enjoy the family

I’m not married yet, but I feel like my boyfriend and I have been having some arguments here and there and I honestly think because he said he wants to propose before the end of the year and has had me looking at rings. With this it has opened up some uncomfortable conversations, but I love him and he loves me and we always say out of the “problems” we have, we must remember it’s us together working to fix the problems. I’ve also learned sometimes you have to agree to disagree on some things. Where a lot of marriages fail in my opinion is that people don’t choose their partner and give up so easily. You two have a beautiful marriage and the vibes are always on point ❤ the fact that someone is able to show up at your house without you giving that information is super scary! I’m glad you all are safe because that could’ve been a terrible situation.

Ok pastor Sav! She really blessed me with her talking about going through hard times even while pursuing your passion but to continue pursuing it if you know it’s your calling (paraphrasing but really blessed by this). I thought about quitting teaching so many times after a REALLY tough year to the point where I was interviewing for other jobs and even got to the final round of alb interview process. Long story short I continued to hear the Holy Spirit tell me to stick it out and just love my students. Not only did I return to my passion this year, I doubled down and started my masters to become the best I can be. Thank you God for resilience in hard seasons and clarity of purpose.

Facebook marketplace usually gives you the general area of where you are located. From there, when selling either you can exchange numbers actual/location, but considering you were selling something SO cheap and everyone knows how expensive things are, that person was probably desperate, and you weren't responding so she probably googled your name to see if you address came up. It's happens a lot. Facebook marketplace is crazy! Lol so many inquiries and stuff. But it's still a good place.

Josh - (What he'd tell his younger self): "Be focused on myself, and be present with what is going on in my present day life because I can't fill your cup up if I'm over here struggling and empty and vice versa."
Wow, such a powerful word! I just celebrated my first year of marriage this past June and would totally agree. I've personally been really trying to focus on the present instead of trying to go down a list of check-boxes to mark off. I found when I've filled up my cup, I've been able to pour out more love in a new capacity as well.

You should still 100% ask for a security purpose in your new place and in the future. Or saying this for fear mongering, but people also now know that you live in Portland (not sure how big that city is), so just saying. It would still be good to know and be aware 😇

Selling a 600$ crib for $50 doesn’t happen often. I’m sure she was excited getting such a great deal. And then to drive that far and get ghosted she was probably scared u sold it to someone else. I’m sure she was determined to not go back empty handed. Glad it worked out!
