I want to see a vid on taxes at some point. Is it possible to write off all your miles etc for deductions to where you don’t end up paying any on that 100k? Also have you considered getting a Costco or Sams Club membership? For 50$ you can get one. Gas is usually 20-30 cents cheaper than every where else. The amount of miles you drive a day/year you’ll pay off the membership plus some easy.
@@josephs8364 that’s what you’re supposed to do. Use Gridwise it’s amazing for helping track miles among other things. And speak with a tax expert they’ll be able to walk you through it if you get stuck or are unsure. The process is simple on most sites if you do your own taxes

I quit my job yesterday and today I start my door dash grind💪🏽 Ive always been the type who would rather work 50 hours a week working for myself than working a job. @@Vision33r wrong.. you only need about 12 percent for taxes after miles are calculated. I've done this full time for over 2 years. The 20 percent is for people who claim nothing.

i already drive about 100 miles per day for my regular full time job. my 5 year old car i bought brand new (yeah i regret that) is over 80,000 miles now. so at this point i dont even care about mileage. i’m tired of the BS i deal with, also it’s nightshift so i just work and sleep. no time/energy for a life. i’m done with it. money and benefits aint everything. i’m so willing to risk it and quit for doordash. i dont even care if i have to do 60 hr weeks or put a shit ton of miles on my car. being my own boss and choosing how long or often i work so i can get my life back is worth it!

Hey Eli it's Monica from Cali. You made a good Point about customer tips. After January 2021, the customers out here stopped tipping big and now they just tip 5 dollars on top of the orders. Every now and then a customer may tip you a 7 or 10 but rarely now. With your drive and determination though, you can easily own your own company. Kudos.

I also doordash in Minneapolis, Minnesota I usually average 25-30$ per hour. I say Minneapolis is a great market, especially in the downtown area. I always take orders that take me to the universty of minnesota. I call them triple doubles.🏀 it's always low mileage, good payout, and sometimes u can get a really good tip.

Good Job as always Eli. Huge difference between the weekdays and the weekends. Much more people tend to get lazy and order out during the weekends meaning more orders. My most profitable day fluctuate between Saturday and Sunday. But recently in my area its been extremely slow that I've only been getting 3 dollar order some shifts and I just give up and log off.

The more I research other jobs available, Door Dash gets more and more exciting to think I can pull a full time income just doing DD! Definitely going to put more time in to see if I can match the $135 a day job I’m currently looking at. I think it’s totally doable and I won’t be putting in 8 hours a day either. yes eli congrats bro!! 2 and a half days this week i was waiting for my car to get fixed, had to replace my front tires, brakes, and calipers. went to firestone to do so. my freaking car warranty was taking forever to approve covering the calipers so i just cancelled them! got my car back thursday afternoon. In the week you filmed this video in my area(hartford, ct) i made $1100 with uber between may 9th-may 15th this week so far ive made $317 with 13hrs of work last week i worked 38hrs and 36min. so lets see how today and tomorrow goes despite not having my car for 2 and a half days! weekend promo for uber is a little weak only gonna get an extra $115 for 60 rides. anyways gonna head out now, this video gave me all the hype energy i needed keep up the grind my boy :)! would love to visit ya one of these days.

You only make good tips if you live in the right market. I live in Winona area (2 1/2) hours southeast of this cat and I put in the same amount of dashing hours in to only make $557 in a week.
There is no trick to it, it's all about location. We in smaller towns don't even get those incentives for so many deliveries made, catering, refer a friend, alcohol deliveries, or participate in pilot programs offered in bigger cities. So keep that in mind that if you want to get the cash he's getting, you got to pack up your family and move.

What do I do if my market is 50/50, sometimes I’ll get a good $25+ an hour but sometimes I’ll get $10-15, should I move to another area in my zone that is more dense or should I try using another food delivery app to see what works?

It depends on where you live because for me it’s not always busy and I make about $25 an hour sometimes I get to $25 with in half an hour and sometimes I go over the hour for $25 I always have to drive to a different area because it’s not always busy in one area so I go for $200 a day

Have you noticed that $8.00/$8.50 isn't the hidden tip rate anymore? I dash in MN and I'm getting hidden tips on orders from $6 - $12 with no correlation at all, makes it harder to cherry pick
yep. doordash is making it far more difficult to cherry pick. I have been noticing the same thing

@@asmokingp3005 the crazy thing is in my market a lot of people have actually left their jobs and are trying to do this full time. the restaurants are struggling to keep employees which in turn makes them slower and less payout for other drivers who are flooding the market. i think over the next few months it's going to be an endurance game of who can outlast the other and maintain their high ratings by going above and beyond with extras in their service.
