Watched this movie 2 years ago and I still think about the disappointing reveal to this day. My heart was melting constantly to this movie and then that happened and I was so crushed lmaoo

It'd be sweet if Marnie truly did feel something for her. There was such potential for romance, but the twist it ended up having was still lovely.
Nonetheless, im sure anyone who sees this movie first hand would feel like they're two gay sweethearts until the ending, lol (And i couldnt blame them)

i think that marnie did feel something for her. at the end she started calling her “kazuhiko”, the man she ended up
being married to’s name, and even if that was mainly because she got confused with her memories, it still could mean that in that moment anna had the same importance as kazuhiko in marnie’s heart. i also think that the blonde girl married her childhood friend because that was the only way she could escape from that house, and/or she was desperate for affection.
that’s just my theory.

@Står Of course. But i was talking about the potential this movie had to not have them be related. They could've had a genuine romance movie between two gals without the twist that one of them is a grandma lol
