I love the octopus. What's really great about this art is that it's so abstract, doesn't have to look perfect.

Ok, did one as i watched with 18ga and its about an inch and a half across. Haven't decided on my center yet. our styles are quite different, im thinking maybe a little swirl of little light yellow pearls. Somehow i missed the octopus the first time around. Laughed till i cried. Funny funny. Appreciate your efforts at entertaining as you tutor. Fun stuff.

Been trying to do a wire sun pendant as well. I have a question about keeping wire from tarnishing. Is there a trick to it? Should I invest in a tumbler?
No, just buy non tarnish coated wire.
Most art and craft stores sell only that.

I love this. I've made quite a few of your things. I'm definitely going to try this one too.
You should do another one where you leave the arms and squished because it looked like a giant hippie flower. You could find some sort of tie-dye bead to go in the center
For those who are intrested in a smoother hammered look, I've found that if you sandwich the wire between two peices of wood or something and use a rubber mallet, then you can make it a bit more even, but I'm not sure how well it'll actually work in the end, seeing as I dropped it before I really got to play around with it, haha. It takes longer to do, and it can take a bit of practice to figure out, 'cause you can't see where it needs to be hammered more. If one of y'all other folk in the comments wanna try it, feel free, maybe you'll even perfect the technique, but I'm far to ADHD for it, lol.
