Adding the garland to your fireplace was perfect. I think your hair looks beautiful without the extensions , besides they can't be good for your natural hair. I love your honesty about everything. When someone walks down the street carrying *regbags* , no one can tell if it's real or fake because you can't analyze it much. The reason I hate LV and why I don't buy them anymore is that many people will assume your bag is fake when they pass you on the street. It's annoying. I once had a woman walk up to me and ask me if my bag was "real". After spending nearly $2000 on a bag, being asked that question was so offensive that I stopped carrying them. People look more at the person carrying the bag and mistakenly judge it as real or fake. It's very annoying

The materials used are all top quality. The leather feels soft and luxurious, exactly like the real thing. The stitching is impeccable, with no loose or uneven lines. I love how you showcase how beautiful my hometown is! We live in Burlington, ON now.. but 15 years ago (to the day) on New Year’s Eve.. my husband and I got engaged when I was living in Osborne village (one of the many wonderful neighbourhoods in the Peg)! This was a lovely tribute to the city I love! Happy new year!

I started following you around the beginning of 2024 and your videos were all snowy and cosy, so watching this vlog felt like such a lovely full-circle moment. Oh I completely understand the ginormity of modern furniture. I ordered a couch and when i put it all together, the lengthy paired with the depth overwhelmed me. I ended up shipping it back which was a huge hassle but definitely worth it for the reduced visual clutter!
I also just picked up Hurricane Season while visiting Mexico City a couple weeks ago! Haven't started yet, but looking forward to it

I love all things Claire Keegan, she's such a tremendous storyteller.
I just read Hurricane Season and it is brutal. I think it's important to tell difficult stories like this, and Melchor's writing is phenomenal. Just be prepared for some extremely despicable characters and events. Also, I think a lot of people go into it thinking it's going to be about witchcraft or like a modern day fable about a witch (something akin to Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead). It is not. Still, highly recommended read.
The coin book first
Interested to hear your thoughts on the Didion & Babitz. As a fan of both I was very disappointed. Gossipy to the point of cruelty, especially on Didion's expense and I think Anolik really stretched the extent of the women's relationship to suit the book's conceit. Better off reading her Babitz bio "Hollywood's Eve" or listening to her podcast on the Bennington writers.
