    IMPORTANCE OF CAUSE AND EFFECT:
    - Developing cause and effect is important as your baby learns that his behaviour and actions result in a response from a parent.
    - For example, when your infant cries you respond by picking him up, changing, or feeding him. Your response to your child’s early communication is important for him to learn the cause and effect relationship.
    - Later, babies begin to explore objects such as shaking a rattle to hear a sound. This is your child learning that shaking causes the sound. The cause and effect relationship develops your child’s cognition, exploring the world.
    - Learning how to make things happen is the foundation of problem solving. Your child will learn that when he calls, you will come.
    - Babies will begin to explore cause and effect toys by pressing buttons, and shaking and batting. You can encourage your child to explore cause and effect relationships by offering toys
    - Babies will also discover object permanence by dropping objects from their highchair and waiting for your response to pick up the object. This is an important concept for your child’s learning.
    - Toddlers will begin to solve problems using cause and effect by opening/closing, trying to flush the toilet, stacking and knocking down blocks, pushing buttons and pushing cars.
