    I love this but it looks like it would be impossible on a large ( Queen) quilt.

      It isn't necessary to move the fabric. Just move the ruler.

    what was you settings on this with tension my upper tension is 2.5 .... will you show

      teresa cole I am using a Janome that has automatic tension. All brands are different and especially with ruler work or any type of free motion quilting you may need to adjust the tension up or down as you practice.       teresa cole I am using a SUPERIOR Titanium-coated Topstitch needle , #90/14.

    I think the method of turning the quilt isn’t practical for an actual quilt. Adjusting the position of the ruler and hands would be necessary. Currently, I’m just practicing on individual blocks, but a big quilt is another story entirely. I appreciate seeing a variety of rulers in play.
