    I got mine 2 years ago and i am sooo happy with it, i actually just can’t belueve that that console slipped from my radar for 3 dacades and that i also only owned and played on the nintendo nes back in the 90’s,it’s just that sad that i never knew or experienced gaming back in the 80’s because back then i was just a very little child,but still trough,the colecovision is definitely a cool system with cool games for it😁

    I have garbled graphics on mine and your video helped me figure out how to remove the power switch and clean it. Unfortunatly that didn't resolve my issue. I did notice the game cutting off and on when I touched the four wires coming out of the plug so I re-soldered all of those. That fixed that issue but it's still garbled. Pretty sure this one must have a video chip issue. It came with the expansion module 1 and plays atari 2600 games fine, not garbled. I'm guessing it's bypassing the video processor on the Coleco and has one of it's own and that's why it works. Stinks I can't play it, I have the racing module as well and TURBO! I'm going to keep it in storage and hope I find a donor board out there somewhere. Thanks for the video!

    thought i chime in on this one as well, i worked on quite a few colecovisions and still have two in my collection, the power switch is 100% common issue but i have also ran into power supply causing corrupted grafx as well, for example i have one power supply that out puts -5.24 volts on the negative pin and no matter what system i connect it to, it alwase has corrupted grafx, while the other power supply i have outputs - 4.96 volts on the negative pin and its works perfectly fine, so basicly if you repair your power switch and still have display problems and have cleaned the cart and cartridge port, check all 3 voltages on hte power supply, 12v shoudldread about 12.2 to 12.3 / +5 should be around 5.1 and -5 should -4.96 to -4.98

      There's no way to fix it other than finding another power supply correct?

    This happened to show up in my recommendations! Good stuff.
    My Colecovision's controller 1 port has some buttons that don't work, I really need to figure out how to fix someday. ;-;

      if the same buttons dont work on two differant controllers, then its bad Controller interface chip thats has to be replaced on the motherboard

    I have seen other videos where they add some dielectric grease to the switch, i guess this is optional?
