Dan: I'd like to talk to you further about the LiFePo battery in your chair, seeing how the Bounder uses the same size (Group 24) as my Quantum Edge HD, and I'd really like to replace the failing SLA AGM originals with something that'd provide much greater range. (40-mi.(?) > 1 (if lucky))
Same for me I don’t have Tourette’s. I have cerebral palsy so I constantly have all sorts of weird spasms in my upper and lower body sometimes in my neck face people notice and then they kinda do that weird look away thing I guess just part of life lol!
I really want to be a wheelchair mechanic for power chairs but I have no clue how to get started. I am in a wheelchair myself. May I ask you for some tips?
I have a unique project I’m working on and you seem to have the most knowledge of these chairs of anyone. I have a jazzy select 6 with brand new batteries I would like to use as an airplane tug. Is there a way to trade speed for torque? I understand there are different drive motors and gear box arrangements in these chairs. I tried moving an airplane with the chair today and it struggled from a stand still. Thanks.
electric motors AND their control systems have amperage and power output limitations.. im not sure any stock power chair is suited for the task.. the jazzy chairs are on the lower end of power handling maybe ~50 amps or so.. probably need to make some kinda gear-reduction chain drive or similar - but then traction (lack of weight) becomes an issue as well. maybe check out these things - amzn.to/4835fGO
this is the standard 8.5 MPH setup - it depends on which chair you order, and if you use insurance billing - ya can end up with a chair that goes anywhere between 6.5 mph, all the way up to 11.5 mph :^)
Thanks I enjoyed your vid , however I have a few questions for you . Firstly as you may have guessed I’m from Australia , Queensland to be precise , and while we do have some rich people who can afford your type of machine they carefully very expensive , like $15- $30 k . We use cheaper units like pride , Mito’s, shop rider brands of 4 wheel mobility scooters which are only $3-5 k new i have two I bought used one for $700 a the other for $500 plus new batteries of course ,,I only use pb acid slr type for $$ reasons , some people use lithium type and I may in a year or so . I live in a Blue Care home as I have Parkinson’s and use my scooters to get everywhere, in a minute I’m going to the plaza only I about 3.5 km away but I do have miles of waterfront parklands and paths . Do you ever test this type of scooter or modify them. Like I’ve found one guy with a modified once with 88 hp and a top speed of 90 mph 😅 Anyway keep up the good work and I would like it if you sent me a e mail Paul
Yay1 Was looking forward to this one. Love the long video and got to take a trip without the pain!
40 MILES?!? Shoot...! If I could get that kinda range from my Quantum Edge HD, and go that fast... I'd have no reason to stay home.😎

Always enjoy watching love your content keep it up
Always love the trail runs, thanks Dan 😊
I sensed a lot of sarcasm in the no vehicle wanted zone... I may be imagining it, but it sounded like sarcasm... LOL.

I’m pretty sure my chair would not do that!
Do you like the new bounder
What should I get chain drive or belt drive which do you think is better or pros and cons?

I can traveling with my chair Dan :)
cool
Awesome! Does it have the high speed motors? Or is it just gearing?

What do you use as a microphone while driving around?
for this video, just the onboard mics :^) usually i have a case on it that has its own microphones tho and its a lot more wind resistant!
How many amps you think your pulling going that fast? Wish my f5 was that fast
at speed, on level ground.. between 14-23 amps - no gearboxes = more efficiency! :^)
Finally!
lol
