Different sports what you just said should never be compared, technique is important in this sport because improper technique means he cheated to lift it. In sprinting on the other hand technique is not punished because the sport requires getting from point A to point B regardless how big/tall/short you are and regardless any differences in technique.
@dan7edan7e All supports actually slow you down, and that is why they generally decrease performance in weightlifting. Weightlifters generally only use supports when they have pain in the joint (knee wraps, knee warmers, wrist supports), or need extra support with maximal weights (belts).
Mr. Rezazadeh is the best Olympic lifter (in super heavyweight). It is a mix of techniques and strength. When it comes to pure strength, there are many in the world to beat him easily (see below). Strength can of course be measured in many ways. Instantaneous power, strength over time (year after year, for example. Mariusz Pudzianowski), different stages, repetitions strength. However, Olympic weightlifting is NOT a measure of pure strength.
Cmon man, its the lift that is being judged, not just getting the weight overhead. They used to have the Clean and Press but it was removed. This is the clean and jerk, so they need to jerk the weight, not press it.
Aha, I was out of space and forgot to remove "(see below)", but I did mention Mariusz Pudzianowski. To name a few others: Brian Shaw, Žydrūnas Savickas and Mikhail Koklyaev. The latter is also an incredibly weight lifter (OL).
This is a push jerk. It still counts as a jerk. If it were a press, you would not see the weightlifter's kness bend. There are several olympic weightlifters that use this style. A split jerk is what you are probably refering to. Either is correct form. For the record, pressing this amount of weight would be a record in itself.
It was clearly a pressout. In olympic weightlifting during a jerk the elbows must be locked out in one smooth motion. Ie it has to be snappy & the elbows have to stay locked out. Many lifts are disallowed due to pressouts.
Its not so much how strong he is and how impressive it is. Its more the speed and fashion he got up off the floor after the WR! Bloody athletic speed. I liked him back when he was so strong and not hugely obese like he then became. Today I just wish Behdad was beat the 263 and then the 266, and then officialize his 217 so we can get the 1980s records off the board.
Not really, no. It's one of the most complicated, without a doubt. Personally, I don't think you can put the label "World Strongest Man" on anyone. The WSM competition really is as close as you can get, cuz it tests the athletes in so many different forms.
I can hardly get over how off Chemerkin was in this, he was struggling with weight that should have been final warm ups to him in this phase of the competition.
фиксации снаряда не было . Хотя и вытолкнул хорошо . Если по правилам - то должен быть не зачитан подход . А если по людски - зачитан , как и сделали судьи.

there is a video of Rezazadeh front squatting 617 really easy. I'd bet he can back squat more than 800. Most importantly Mariusz does not have to get tested for PEDs in every competition ;)
На этом турнире судьи просто лютуют!!! Эти соревнования для судей? Простые зрители понятия не имеют почему не засчитывают попытки или почему одни из судей красный сигнал зажигает
Why are strong men punished? Chemerkin fucking got that 247.5. When are we going to disqualify sprinters with faulty running technique. "Yes, you made the 100 meters in 9.2 seconds but your posture was so much off we can't look past that". Weightlifting does something similar at the moment.
What was the deal with Chemerkin? He couldn't even get the weight onto his shoulders, he was holding it football player style with his hands! Pretty sad showing for a guy that used to be such a beast...
I disagree. Pressing the weight is actually way harder in most cases, it's dumb to say it's cheating. In the C&J, the only judging crieria should be getting the bar up from the ground to a locked position above the head. In my opinion, at least.
in my town people can carry two 50 kilos of rice on their shoulders going up a mountain and they are maybe 5x smaller than that guy.... ill tell them to join this coming olympics in london
Tchmerkin straight up pressed that second attempt. What a beast of a man.
World record is 266KG By Leonid Taranenko...
Антонио Кръстев е най добрият щангист, раждал се някога, н
яма кой да го засенчи. България над всичко!
thanks for posting these vids , i really appreciate it
Can't believe they passed it. He did not have the weight under full control for a two count.
thanks you so much for excellent videos!!!! I waintig for London!!!
regards
hector
Yeah would have loved to see that, Reza has never struggled when his lifts come together
Леонид Тараненко - толчок 266 кг. - лучший из лучших.
смотльо, а Антонио Кръстев?

great upload thanks.
He should have used his last lift, 263 was too easy.
he has 270 in him there easy,

Liked to see you try those weights.
Yes I remember at some contest that he missed the jerk at around 263 so make no mistake, he was at his limits.
Events like shot put and triple jump are just as draconian with rules.

I can't even imagine what that feels like.
Great strength great men of steel

even at 2020 with lasha 264 record, Rezzadeh's clean is out this world, the best ever
2021 Talaxadze 225 - 267 💪
@@PREDATOR991000 i knew it, but even in 267 rezazadeh has the best clean ever, even kurlovich weighting 130 was able to lif twice his bodyqeight
@@haroldpepete Lasha is much higher and more difficult to raise 2 meters than 1.50
Thanks Frank!!!!
chemerkin pressed 240kg Wtf
***** The only guy who can barely clean the weight but then goes on and presses it out regardless (the 2nd attempt).
Hardly a press when he half-jerked it then finished it off with a mushy press-out. This isn't bodybuilding lifts.
thanks for the info !
mariusz personal best squat is close to 800, and his best deadlift is around 900.
I think reza probably has a shoulder press for sure than mariusz.
It was clearly a pressout. In olympic weightlifting during a jerk the elbows must be locked out in one smooth motion. Ie it has to be snappy & the elbows have to stay locked out. Many lifts are disallowed due to pressouts.

He could do more than 263 , it was pretty easy for him
+Асылхан Алданазар yes but the snap was hard for him
He should have broke taranenko record of 266 than we would get rid of all these arguments about this, damn he could easily do 270, waste
These guys are stronger than bodybuilders I imagine, if that's what you're asking.
Chemmy has a ridiculous amount of brute strength. Look at how he fucking cleans! Holy shit! Doesn't even rack it!
Rez starts when others fail!
i had to read that like 5 times to make sense of it :P
It helps them have more stability, to fight against the bar's weight.
I love this guy !
he was moving forward on that last lift
He made that look so easy.
Congreats man, you are realy strong..

Well that explication is ... but the thing here is that is more difficult to do the press like Chemerkin does in this video so whats the problem???
I can see that, but I'm looking at it in the light of he needed a parallel squat and went ATG. Thus why i don't do olympic style lifting I guess.
I can hardly get over how off Chemerkin was in this, he was struggling with weight that should have been final warm ups to him in this phase of the competition.
He didnt lock his arms in the jerk, he pressed out the weight after he jerked it
This is not a world record
It’s in kilos, not pounds bro
just these guys can probably carry two 150 kilos on each shoulder ...
"dug him out of the ice 23 years ago"
hahahahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Just because someone isn't Natural doesn't mean they are not stronger and just because someone is tested does not mean they are Natural.

Why Andrei Chemerkins second lift wasnt accepted?

well locking out is part of the requirement like you have to stay in your lane while running. rules are rules
❤ LOVE RESPECT 4 PERSIAN 🇮🇷 HERO 💜
if Mariusz is your strongest man, many people can out squat/bench/shoulder press him too...
I can understand why they do it, it is called the clean and jerk not the clean and pressout.
can someone explain 7:47 ? he seemed to lift it above his head cleanly + arms straight to me. why not qualified?
Because he pressed it out. That is illegal in weightlifting. This is the clean and jerk-no press outs allowed.
Your arms have to lock out, before the weight comes back down. No pressing out with the arms allowed.
Perfect comment.

I can only dream of ever being able to even deadlift this weight:/
why is rezazadeh the only one to use knee wraps?
What are they smelling before the lift?
Better bodies through chemistry!
okay.. idk anything about oly lifting but why did andrei got 3 red lights for the 247kg? i thought he got it ? thanks
I think he pressed the weight, hence why he got three reds
Why are press outs against the rules?
reebok weightlifting shoes??
263 молодец мужик 263 кг это круто 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
the Bulgarian guy looks like Shrek :D
Hossein kind of roled the bar right before the pull. i thought the bar had to be dead before any pull?!
Thats 580lbs held overhead, goddamn
who is?

well c&j is one of the hardest lifts out there...

Really. Wow i didn't know they were so strict. i always though push-presing was harder than a good jerk anyway.
❤LONG LIVE PERSIAN 🇮🇷 HERO 💜
the king..
Wahnsinn !
to imagine that this is my deadlifting max after 4 Years of training...... he is.... FUCKING STRONG :P
"arguably the strongest man in the world".... when it comes to the c&j, yes...
How about it means they are tested.
i think he can do even more :) it looked eas for him...
Aye, seen that one, reckon Reza would have got under it!
I disagree. Pressing the weight is actually way harder in most cases, it's dumb to say it's cheating. In the C&J, the only judging crieria should be getting the bar up from the ground to a locked position above the head. In my opinion, at least.
He got red lighted because when he attempted to jerk the weight he pressed it out, which is an illegal move.
8:30 why did he get red lighted? I barely understand Olympic lifting.
He presses it out

Can any of you tell me what he sniffed at 11:30?
What are you?
I hate it when the snatch is not clean....
if you know what i mean.
He is Seldjuk
Lev Altun he is an Iranain
Bodybuilder would have no chance doing this exercise at these weights.
no?
That was a stupid question....this guy won't even win against a UFC fighter let alone a beast 13 times stronger than him.
I just don’t like seeing the guys with knee wraps. Any wraps seems to me to be a slight form of ‘aided’ lifting.
all that and you never even answered the question...
who is?
monster
To do that, one must be a god.
