It was inspiring to look through these again with your commentary. I really need to know more about the flourishes or filigrees you used. Did I miss it in a previous video? How are they made? They look 3 dimensional. I literally opened a surprise Christmas gift from my son and Daughter-in-law just minutes ago and it's a Sissix Sure Shot! I want to make 3-D embossed paper like you use, as none I have found for sale are as pretty as yours! Will you share the names of the embossing folders you use (if any)? I can't wait to see the journals you're working on now once they're finished, as I get so inspired by them! And I can hardly wait for your January 2023 introduction of fabric and more washi back in the shop! Keep on going Nazy! You're a star in the "junk journaling" world, imho.

You have ruined me. There is some serious karma coming your way. Thankfully, it is all good. I cannot stop making journals from your palette book kit. Ive worked on this journal literally for months. I'm old, im slow. But YOU got in a creative flurry and released gorgeous gorgeous pages. Ive come back to the videos over and over for instruction, and it's those little tips you share. Plus, now, I can't stop embossing paper. I'll be watching TV and see the sizzix on the shelf,and grab it and emboss away. Ive been watching the new season of criminal minds and one episode was edge of your seat, before I knew it, it was over, and I had a lap full of all kinds of embossed paper, envelopes, printed papers I screwed up printing. It's also all the tags and gorgeous envelopes you've done, and pockets. I had to make myself stop adding papes and ephemera in the palette book. This is my wish for you and all you love. Including our precious fur babies, that your very best day of 2022 will be your worst day of 2023.
I was at the laundromat doing comforters, and this adorable adorable 5 yr old little Hispanic girl in sparkle shoes that lit up. A little dress with a Christmas tree on the bodice, her hair curled .. I had a boy. But she wanted a toy and the machine was broken, she started to cry, the only Spanish I know is la cucaracha sp .. I sang, she giggled,then I did a terrible rendition of Feliz Navidad ... can't spell it, she sang to me, and that is what I hope for your beautiful Christmas with those you love, Patricia
The only thing that stops me making such a journal is that I don’t know exactly what I would use it for? I don’t want to have a craft room full of useless projects. I have started making several journals in the past but never completely finished them as I knew I would probably wouldn’t actually do anything with them. When I journal, it is usually in a blank book where I can add text and photos etc to my heart’s content. I feel the usefulness is a little lost in such an elaborate journal. I am curious how other people feel about it? I am not having a dig at her journals specifically - they are absolutely gorgeous - but I have seen many such heavily decorated journals and just wonder what people actually do with them?

This is not a Junk Journal. It’s an Art Journal or just a Journal. I don’t see any junk in your books. 😅
