Howdy. Yes. Technically speaking You have changed Your disk system from MBR to GPT. The UEFI is a byproduct, assuming Your hardware also supports UEFI. First boot into BIOS and check if UEFI actually is an option. Very old computers only support Legacy BIOS. After the MBR to GPT conversion one needs to manually select the UEFI in Bios. Doing the MBR to GPT on non UEFI will render the computer convoluted and useless. The disk must be wiped clean and everything must be reinstalled. What I am really searching for is an UEFI emulator so I can upgrade my Legacy only laptop to win 24H2. 23H2 works on Legacy but 24H2 does not. Best regards.

Thanks for feedback 🤗
After doing that my hp laptop say. "No boot device found"
I have a message that says reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key. What does this mean???
Same plz help
sometimes, if the boot device isn’t found, go into BIOS, then click “boot mode” or “boot sequence”, and then change it to UEFI. its just if the BIOS doesn’t recognize the partition.

Hi, I just realized that the initial configuration they did to my computer was by cloning, I mean they didn't install the OS and everything on it, does that affect this change to UEFI in any way? What measures should I take, is it worth making the change? thank you
it worked for me i can download windows 11 now note : after you pressed any key to continue head on to bios you may need to enable secure boot manually in bios mode
Brother I faced a issue on my bios . Bios all option is not showing.. 😢 I can't update my bios motherboard msi h61I E35 v2w8 ..
finally changed it to UEFI, tho i can't enable my secure boot state. Can you teach me how? it was enabled on bios, but when i check system info it's still off
Hello, I did everything and it converted but right now my PC does not shutdown neither is it connecting to internet. Pls what's the solution?
I bought a new notebook (Windows 10, NVME-SSD, UEFI) and have been trying for a month now and then in vain to migrate the system hard drive of my old notebook (Windows 10, M.2-SSD, Legacy) to the des to clone new ones. After unsuccessful attempts with Acronis, Haslo WinToHDD and Samsung Data Migration (always get a blue screen with "Error code: 0xc0000001") I don't know what to do anymore. I read online that reformatting the new hard drive from MBR to GPT before removing it from the external enclosure and installing it in the new machine can help. Is that correct or what alternative program to that cloning would be recommended? May Paragon Partition Manager Community Edition do the trick?
My computer was stopped working … why ???

Which drive should I have to convert c drive or external drive
i tried this and it worked on my pc. but then, i got a problem. the problem is my pc can't shut down after converting to uefi. when i try to shut down, it opens lockscreen and it's just loop
Howdy.
There is something wrong
with my computer i done that and then " non-system disk or disk error replace and strike any key when ready"
When I was doing this process there is a power cut I was at 6:20. And after I started my pc and it says remove disks or other media .press any key to restart
What to do now
Ya me too how is ur pc now
sorry I have the same problem you can tell me if you have solved and if you have solved. please do not know what to do

Hi. I have ASRock AB350M with Ryzen CPU: 7 1700. BIOS shows 'legacy only' currently. It also show UEFI only if I enable it but it will appear 'shell' after restart. I'm here asking if your video will work without switch bios itself? Or, should I upgrade the CPU like 7 3700x? Please help. Thank you for your time.
Wow, its working! Amazing, thanks man.
