Sauvage elixir to me is strong on liquorish, lavender and a soapy smell to it there too (which I do not like). However the reason I like this is its unique its like an 80s or 90s fragrance.
I really really really enjoy Elixir. But sadly my body doesn’t cause it is the only cologne to date that has given me a legit headache. Sucks too. I am over 100+ fragrances in. And none have given me a headache. This one though. Headache every time within mins of wearing it.

Good review. I was late to the party with Sauvage fragrances. I avoided them due to their popularity. However, I finally caved in last month as a local department store had a promotion on Sauvage colognes. I bought a 60mil bottle of the parfum…it was a blind purchase. I like it a lot. I then had a sample (on a testing strip) of Elixir in a store, but I found it a bit overpowering. I took the plunge and bought a bottle, though. It arrived earlier, and I now realise that it’s a rich and complex fragrance that changes on the skin. Although the opening notes are powerful, the scent comes into its own during the dry down. I think that 2 sprays would be enough for me, though!
@@fbeydoun369 I think the Parfum has its purpose. For eg, if I want to wear something subtle then I’ll reach for the Parfum. I’ve also doubled up by spraying the Parfum on my chest and then 2-3 sprays of Elixir on my neck.

So...I bought a 60ml bottle for £95.00 🥴 ExPensiVe for a peasant...its in the post and my breath is baited! ✨😎 So when I receive this Elixir (of life) and _if_ I fall in love with it...its going to be expensive to restock with backup bottles. Thanks a lot Chaos Fragrances!!
I bought this fragrance as soon as it was available. Haven’t given it wear because I don’t feel it’s cold enough here in Louisiana. I smell the bottle everyday though it’s really a great fragrance. Did I mention expensive?!?!
I really have shifted my process of buying fragrances. I'm approaching 50, and I really had to check myself. I didn't want to become that person that has enuff to last my lifetime. So now when I run out of two I'll but a new one. To maybe not go away too far. I been really enjoying some of the Middle Eastern houses. I noticed they really seem to be doing the fragrance game almost perfect. They have top quality for very low prices. I'm pretty sure many have no clue how big the profit margins are. Anything over $3-6 is profit. So these houses like Lattafa are so great and I have no issue supporting them. They really go out of their way to show you they care. They don't have to give you that 10/10 presentation. Like when you open it, you get that feeling that you got something special. And you spray the scent on and the satisfaction level is so high and they give you niche style scents and quality and asking $20-40. You can't beat that. Also I originally wanted to say I hope they never go the reformulation route every scent seems to go thru. But you never, or hardly ever see a difference from the scent from the release date to years later. You are not losing anything over time, you get more if you let it sit sometimes but so many times I buy another bottle after I run out and it's a fraction of what it used to be. I can scream off hundreds of examples. not once have I had one single complaint and Lattafa not only brings you good quality dupes but they do their own stuff. Qaa'ed is on me now and it's just great.
I really cannot get when people say a fragrance has quality ingredients. Like really ? No one can tell in a fragrance, made from a ton of ingredients, whether the lavender is rock bottom quality or quality from lavender from France. Like I think people just say that to sound like you can tell. I hear people saying all the time Chanel Allure Homme Sport is Versace Pour Homme but with better ingredients. Like to me it's said so they can charge you more. I been collecting frags for decades and I got wise and now I can find really great deals or frags that have that $500 a bottle smell for $30-50. I have never had such a great smelling collection with so little spent. Anyone who has money can find an expensive way to buy anything. I can go online right now and get a set of sheets at Walmart for $10. Or I can go and find ones that have a high thread count for $200. The word high thread count is used in this case where "quality ingredients" are with fragrances. At least my opinion. Chanel has earned the price to sell the stuff they do and for that I will always have a BDC or Dior scent. They earned it and Dior especially, you really seem to get that higher level of satisfaction when you get a Dior scent than say a clone. Like Armaf even, they literally in their newest Club De Nuit Intense Man Parfum release, let's face it, that juice in that $70 bottle is Creed Aventus. It just is. Others will disagree, and it's in their heads they spent $500 on a bottle they want to think it's special,.. ...but it's not. I have owned a bottle and usually 95% of the time I buy a super expensive bottle of Creed or Amouage or Parfums De Marley bottle I really don't get the satisfaction I thought. It's a lot of money and sure it sucks mentally if you spend $500 on a bottle and in comes a 16;year old dishwasher rocking the exact same shit you spent $500 for, it's gonna give birth to resentments. Times are just getting tougher and some of the houses that have smart executives realize how much money is to be made in getting a chunk of that pie. They find a way to design the exact same shit and just charge many times less the price. Then they develop a reputation as good deal. Now Armaf and Lattafa are just killing it. Like they changed the whole way clones are looked at. I used to own a bottle of Parfums De Marley Pegasus. Loved it and thought there would never be anything like it. When I ran out I thought no way..maybe a decant. Then one day cause I got Sillage and Milestone, and CDNIM and they are all 10/10 clones why not give Craze a try. I cannot at all...no way, tell the difference between Pegasus and Armaf Craze. I mean it hits the nostalgia vibe so it is close. That's the direction I been going and so glad I did. If I go into a formal situation, wearing Armaf Club De Nuit Intense Man Parfum (Limited Edition) I can absolutely fool anyone there who knows what the Aventus vibe is. I can't tell at all the difference after 30 minutes. You either gotta knock it and buy expensive, or embrace it and save a shitload more and expand your collection.
Lol, you release this video today and i wore it as my scent of the day haha, i did have a small 7.5mil bottle but i will definitely buy the full 60 soon on discounters. Generally i dislike the whole sauvage line so i wat not excited to try this out but it grew on me quite well and for me it is easily the best and higher quality than the others of the line.
I cant find it anywhere here in Malaysia, so I asked a Dior boutique and they said they are waiting on new stock. I hope the restock smells the same as the 1st batch.
For those who like this fragrance, please get a backup bottles now! This fragrance will be discontinued sooner than you think. Dior is known for that. I bought 4 backup bottles when they launched it in 2021
Elixir is...interesting. I love it. The opening is too much for me - in fact, I hate it. THE DRY DOWN HOWEVER, is simply THE best. A more sophisticated, bolder, long lasting, projecting, and ultra masculine Sauvage. It evolves as the day goes, from a blunt and sharp (can be offensive) note in the opening to an insanely amazing dry down. My girlfriend hated the opening as well and when she smelled the dry down, she told me to get it lol!
This is a stunning pimp juice to the 10th power period! I wasn't feeling this at all but then again it was a hot day when I tested it but now that is getting colder out here in the northeast it's a def a stunner for fall and winter!!! ✌❤
The edt, edp and parfum all smell similar but with subtle differences but the elixir smells different, like a different cologne altogether. If can have one of the three for everyday use and get the elixir for select occasions
It’s jus means another version of something that’s original so the original Dior sauvage is the edt and there’s 3 flankers to it which is the edp, parfum, and elixir.
Personally I don't think they smell all that similar. I'm in the same boat but definitely considering doing the same thing. The edt is great but this is different great. Definitely think its worth having both.
I SPRAYED 1 spray in a store to test it and 2 days after i still smelling it to the point it got annoying i don't think i will ever buy it and spray it more that one spray lol we all want good performance but on fresh and aquatic or fruity scents not on a spicy and intense smelling fragrance like elixir it's too much
I wore this at work did two sprays one female said it was to powerful the other said it’s smells like old man she said it reminded her of Irish spring soap :(
To my case it's contrary i don't get it the hype with the Elixir, i don't find the smell fantastic. With YSL on contrary they upgrade the original la nuit de l'homme to something better with better performance
Don't judge it too fast. First time I tried it I really disliked it, 3rd time and now I just dislike it. It lasts extremely long Ill give it that. Idk how to explain it but I get Middle Eastern vibes from it. Dont mean it in a bad way but smelling it reminds me of my time in Dubai. Maybe its aimed at that market? Spray too much and you'll suffocate those around you.
I think that Elixir is a nice fragrance but I feel that there are a lot more fragrances that will stand out more. Everywhere I go, I smell Savauge on just about every other guy I walk by. Nice review, Dallas, but I’ll let all the other guys wear it.
@@StevenTwoTwo 😂 mannnn, don’t get me wrong…it’s nice! But I get the same vibes from the previous Savauge’s. It’s like going back to school from summer break, and you walk in and everyone is wearing the same exact outfit as you. It’s nice…just not nice enough for me.

where are the best places to spray this on clothes i don't spray cologne on skin because its terrible to put this on skin
It has a retro old smell to it that I love. Beings back good vibes.
Great timing elixir is my sotd an yes it lasts all day with just 2 sprays
Lol, you release this video today and i wore it as my scent of the day haha, i did have a small 7.5mil bottle but i will definitely buy the full 60 soon on discounters. Generally i dislike the whole sauvage line so i wat not excited to try this out but it grew on me quite well and for me it is easily the best and higher quality than the others of the line.
This is by far the strongest fragrance I've ever bought. Wow! Even after a shower I smell it. Do not spray on clothing lol
I cant find it anywhere here in Malaysia, so I asked a Dior boutique and they said they are waiting on new stock. I hope the restock smells the same as the 1st batch.
Sauvage elixir es una obra de arte.
Best cologne ever
I layer the EDT with Elixir
They really work great together!
I put it on in summer too but only one spray
This is a stunning pimp juice to the 10th power period! I wasn't feeling this at all but then again it was a hot day when I tested it but now that is getting colder out here in the northeast it's a def a stunner for fall and winter!!! ✌❤
Bought 3 bottles,it’s a Beast,no more needs to be said
does the 2022 batch still have beast performance?
@@galaxyregaz5484 same fragrance. Please don’t stress yourself listening to EBay guys who want to sell their bottles 3x the price
U can get them for 100€ easily in the cannarie islands
10 reasons you need Dior Sauvage Elixir in your collection: ALL OF THEM!!! Get one NOW! The best fragrance I've ever smelt by a long shot! Killer.
I just ordered Elixir on discount 😀 99,7eur not too bad
would it make sense to own both of these? One as an everyday scent the other as a date night type of thing?
The edt, edp and parfum all smell similar but with subtle differences but the elixir smells different, like a different cologne altogether. If can have one of the three for everyday use and get the elixir for select occasions
Yeah the other Sauvages have a certain musky smell to them to me. Elixir does not have that particular smell
Can it be worn in the spring ?
Bought myself and my dad this :)
What about me im ur friend 👀
That is an awesome gift from you! You rock dude
@@alextanguay5886 thank you 😊
i bouth this fragance but to me its not that strong
What would you recommend to wear in the spring/summer time?
EDT for for hotter climate, EDP /parfum for cooler climate/months Elixer is just the last two with beast projection and sillage.
@@AltruisticEgo Thank you. But what do you mean by last two?
@@saumyakumarbhatnagar4184 EDP and parfum they are for cooler weather/late night cologne, think of Sauvage Elixir as a more potent version of these 2
What is wrong with the EDT?
Does it project?
Would it suit a high school student or is it too mature?
Wear it during cooler weather like fall/winter for a better projection and sillage it’s a heavy fragrance, EDT is for summer
I got it can’t wait to experience it 😎
How u liking it so far?
@@alextanguay5886 I love it definitely will get a back up bottle
@@blAckevans is good for everyday?
@@akh.talha38 naaaa more like a dress up special occasion & plus it’s so strong don’t need it every day
Sm going to buy second bottle,I love it
Is the dior sauvage elixir available at 100ml?
How many sprays?
Where did the term "flanker" come from and what does it mean? Thanks...
It’s jus means another version of something that’s original so the original Dior sauvage is the edt and there’s 3 flankers to it which is the edp, parfum, and elixir.
Should i get elixir if I already have sauvage edt?
Personally I don't think they smell all that similar. I'm in the same boat but definitely considering doing the same thing. The edt is great but this is different great. Definitely think its worth having both.
It smells amazing and it does last be careful don't put two many sprays
Please review Kenneth Cole Mankind line.
I SPRAYED 1 spray in a store to test it and 2 days after i still smelling it to the point it got annoying i don't think i will ever buy it and spray it more that one spray lol we all want good performance but on fresh and aquatic or fruity scents not on a spicy and intense smelling fragrance like elixir it's too much
I find BLEU de Chanel Parfum has really bad performance. So I´ll go with this one :)
Sauvage EDP is the best Sauvage.. much better than elixir. elixir only have more projection..
I wore this at work did two sprays one female said it was to powerful the other said it’s smells like old man she said it reminded her of Irish spring soap :(
Oh damn I bought it 😶
Definitely not an office fragrance to me.
This is a beast mode frag but also smells sophisticated. One of my all time favourites. Expensive but smells it too. I hate the original Sauvage btw
@@galaxyregaz5484 why you keep asking the same question in every comment? Go and get sample then decide for yourself
You should check out Penhaligon’s Sartorial and let us know what ya think
I use 10 sprays, but with elixir I use 5 that’s plenty.
Wow 5 sprays?? You will clear out a room 😂 I do 3
@@alextanguay5886 😂😂I feel like 3 is too little for me. One good thing about elixir is it lasts for ages
Sauvage elixir is amazing. Really dislike blue electrique. Really don't get why it gets so much hype
Because it’s like the original la nuit de l’homme
To my case it's contrary i don't get it the hype with the Elixir, i don't find the smell fantastic. With YSL on contrary they upgrade the original la nuit de l'homme to something better with better performance
I’m the opposite, love blue electrique but I absolutely can’t stand elixir
Yep agree blue electrique is ass
Got it today for approx 110 $
Don't judge it too fast. First time I tried it I really disliked it, 3rd time and now I just dislike it. It lasts extremely long Ill give it that.
Idk how to explain it but I get Middle Eastern vibes from it. Dont mean it in a bad way but smelling it reminds me of my time in Dubai. Maybe its aimed at that market? Spray too much and you'll suffocate those around you.
Hahaha I don’t know what middle eastern smells like 😂
It does have that vibe but I like it
I like it but it takes 8-9 hours for me to really enjoy it
I think that Elixir is a nice fragrance but I feel that there are a lot more fragrances that will stand out more. Everywhere I go, I smell Savauge on just about every other guy I walk by.
Nice review, Dallas, but I’ll let all the other guys wear it.
@@StevenTwoTwo smells the same to me.
@@StevenTwoTwo that’s very true. I still can tell it’s a Dior fragrance but it does have a sweeter touch to it now. Wear it while you can because they been promoting the hell out of it so all the Dior Savauge EDT guys will be soon wearing Elixir lol
defo need to do 10 reasons why not to buy a frag if you do 10 reasons why you should
Porque el titulo en español si hablas inglés 😢
After 9 h on my skin its like Montblanc explorer hhhh
does the 2022 batch still have beast performance?
