You stayed in pretty much the ideal area for a quiet area but close to the village. We liked it so much we bought property a stones throw from The Flying Pig.
I found Placencia a LITTLE sketchy, I think my choice in places to stay needs work.. The rest of my trip to Belize was great, Ambergris cay was to touristy 4 me ! WE had a great time. We found a little place called The Tranquility Inn in Punta Gorda. We met some great people there-- 4 professors from canada-- from there things got REAL FUN. Thank you Rodge & John & wives You guys made our trip memorable x 10
We briefly visited San Pedro as part of a tour (only to have lunch). From what we have heard Placencia has more of a “Laid back” vibe, while San Pedro is busier and more developed. The reef is closer to San Pedro than it is to Placencia. Either way, it will be fun in the sun :)
@@jcsworld69 i just booked it online. we are looking forward to it. we plan on going grocery shopping like you did. not as adventurous as you though. we'll take taxi there. how far is it from the studio? thanks for your responses
@@markcard4567 by car.. Public’s store in Sein Bight is only 5 mins away (according to Google Maps). The nearest eatery is the Flying Pig which is basically a 2 minute walk. Then a little further down the street was the Hobbs Brew Barge (bring bug spray with you to the barge).
I took the chicken bus from Belize City to Placencia. What a beautiful countryside!!!!
Definitely a scenic bus ride, but the seats were not too comfortable lol.
Check out our San Ignacio video!
Well done!

did you guys have the studio or one bedroom?
It was the studio with the ocean view…it included cleaning service, cable TV, Wifi, Air Con and an awesome view :)
