They have this supreme confidence of a veteran group, especially in their live performances at award shows. They sing 100% live complete with the breathing on the mics, their voice peaking but that's what makes it so good!
They are criminally underrated imo, they have a mature concept and are very talented, so I am just waiting for them to blow up in popularity
Kiof is group with no skip song because all the songs are insane

They are the real queen of 5th gen with great music. These girls really need an appreciation for their talent, Song, music, dance, concept, creativity, storyline, comfortable at their own part of the song etc. They have their own style and vibes. And this is what I call talent. There’s no show up, just them from small company and doing their best. I know international fans are already their fans, I just hope kntz would recognise them asap.

They are such great live performers too. I think you mentioned it in the previous marathon, but they are a bit more mature than a lot of their peers, and they've definitely got more of an r&b/hip-hop sound than the current kpop groups do too.
KIOF is one of the unique kpop groups. A refresher from all these copy paste trends cycle that all good at first but became boring lately. dunno why KIOF is being slept on when they literally showed everyone that they got what stans want. i prefer KIOF's concept and sound than that ygngg
When I first saw KIOF they reminded me of G-IDLE which is unique and different from Kpop in general and they don't come from a big agency, hopefully KIOF can get bigger attention and be successful with their own hard work, If you like other unique girl groups, I recommend XG or Young Posse, they are also different from Kpop girl groups in general and their genre is based on RnB and Hip Hop.

If you haven't already seen it you should watch their live performance of Bad News from last years MMA's they blew the roof off. Easily the best performance of the show.
Kiss of Life is considered one of the first group in the fifth generation. Also i am like you i started to listen to K-pop since first generation with BoA in 2003 and that was and still is a wild journey. I had the chance to follow Kiss of Life since their debut and i felt in love at first listen, their vibe and energy remind me so much of second generation group like 2NE1, some say some Mamamoo vide too and i agree with that too. They are that kind of group that is so talented and so unique that they are not following trend they ARE the new trend.
Kiss of Life or KIOF for short is a group to really check it out, follow and suport. For me they are the leader and number one group of the fifth generation and i'm certain that they will make history in K-pop and become one of the GOAT.
Oh, and if you officially decide to join the fandom, we are called 'Kissy', also little scoop we will have our lightstick soon this year.

To put it shortly, I take a look at them and stay assured that the future of gg music is in good hands. LOOK AT THEM!
KIOF and their team know what they want + what works for them. That, and the fact that the girls are so involved with their work, results in the most beautiful masterpieces ever. ❤🔥
We are actually already in 5th gen since around mid 2023 . (KIOF is already 5th gen along with for example BABYMONSTER , Unis , I’ll it , Zerobaseone )
I honestly think that Kiss of Life is the 5th Gen's answer to (G)I-DLE. There are a number of parallels I'm sure we all can draw from them, but I think the chief component that really is stressed in both groups is showcasing individuality and not being ashamed of who you are. I know (G)I-DLE is still around and going strong, but I feel if there ever was a spiritual little sister to them, it's Kiss of Life.
The choreography for nobody knows is so good too
The midas touch is a story of a king who was blessed by a greek god that every thing he touches turns into gold

I am pretty sure Julie's scenes with heart cutouts are referencing Aphrodite goddess of love and Hanuel is medusa, Belle is Hera and Natty is Arachne a woman turned into a spider (when she boasted her waving was more impressive than Athena's)
I dont understand why still so many people sleeping on them. Literally it dosent get better than this. ( Especially in the RnB sound, like the only other groups out there doing RnB on THAT level are Red Velvet and XG and that's saying alot. )

You know what's sad is that today's fandom prefers groups that are full of visuals, they no longer care about vocal quality or other skills, especially if the girl group comes from a big agency, not to mention that big agencies can do sajaegi/payola to their idols. Kpop is getting more and more crap nowadays.

@@rachmatmulia5212 I agree but I think its more of hit songs versus popularity. Like fifty fifty blew up not because of their talent or popularity but because of their song. I think the same can be said about a lot of other groups. There are a lot of talented idols but their music can be a big factor for their popularity. KIOF is getting more popular and sugarcoat went viral cause its such a good song. KIOF is definitely only going to get better and more popular.

KIOF (Kiss of Life) has been a group that I have been really invested in since their debut and I have fallen in love with the so hard, to the point where I consider them one of my ult groups that I stan. I really like Belle and if you keep on going she’ll be considered one of the best vocalists in kpop, atm she’s one of the best of the 5th gen if that the best. It is a group where I’m genuinely interested in each and every member, I find them all really talented, interesting and great fun. You were not too wrong though. Most of Europe, including Ancient Greek where it originated, has the pronunciation of Midas similar to your first one (and Adidas being German, that tracks too). English warped it to the pronunciation you were corrected to, and then the Asian languages like Korean and Japanese took it from English.
And it totes was a curse. Midas was a greedy man who wished everything he touched to turn to gold. Greek gods being the cruel pranksters granted him his wish. He was at first very happy, but that quickly changed when he found his food and wine turning to gold as they touched his lips, and his loved ones turning to golden statues when he sought comfort.
Midas Touch is the vibe of early Britney Spears.I love it

The only thing I don’t get about Midas Touch is the name lol. Because yes, Midas was “blessed” (cursed) by the gods to turn anything he touched into gold. But the girls aren’t turning the men into gold statues, they’re turning them into marble statues which is Medusa’s purview, not Midas’. I imagine there’s a reason for that? But the entire MV is such good early 2000s vibes.
I think they combine Midas and Medusa together since we saw a lot of snakes and Medusa scenes in this MV.
Plus the man was turned into stone by touching, not by looking.
Maybe because Medusa's ability to turn people to stone is a curse/blessing by a god (athena)
