I'm sorry , the fact he didn't pay and went with a freind of the chef, means the chef knew hi had a YT critique coming, so that makes this video completely worthless. You should go incognito next time and pay if you want your channel to be taken seriously. How many bad revews you gave for chefs who had no idea who you are. Not fair and almost dirty.
You could have easily gotten away without mentioning that this was comped by the restaurant. The fact that you did anyway is awesome and (as someone who also wrestles with a similar dilemma occasionally) you could not have handled it better. Very impressed by your integrity- have been hooked on your content since your first month of uploads and it keeps getting better and better.
You really believe a reviewer of any product or service should be able to "get away" with omitting something like this? Absolutely not, it would effectively have ended this channel. Good for him that he mentioned it, but unfortunately this particular review can now be disregarded entirely.
Absolutely insane. So many elements of the decor are so unique and seem to pair perfectly with some of the courses and their combinations. Each dish kept me somewhere between dying to know what it tasted like and being impatient to see what was coming next. Truly awesome stuff - really feels like we get to experience these places for ourselves thanks to your knowledge and production. Thanks as always!
@alexandertheguest your Channel is my new obsession and hands down the finest of it's genre on the entire youtube galaxy. Congrats, this video once more validates all of the above. Exquisite.
I have been following this channel or Alex more than a year , this is by far the most impressive place he has been, the decor, the food , but , my God, the wine pairing, amazing, truely first class. BRAVO!
Long time waited for Diverxo! Dabiz is exactly what true professionals of new generations want to do, new, no boarders, respect traditions and make a new ones. Miguel as a sommelier shows the respect to really good conventional wines that all of us want to drink, but also do the funky wines of old generations that are perfect match for this kind of cuisine. Seeing Amontillado and Chateu Chalon Vin Jaune plus champagne kills all the old fashioned opinions of old generations that are pulling down new generation style. You guys nailed it, you deserve to be on top and luckily for all of my colleagues there is recognition from Michelin, Top 50. Its not all about white gloves and white table cloths(it's 2023 not 1978)😅 Hope to see Hisa Franko soon on this channel! Alexander thank you for this!
i love when a new vid pops up. nobody would think i love high end cuisine in my life however we all can have a dream and passion regardless of where we are from
Hard to find more words to describe the meal. I’m blown away by the diversity and creativity. When someone of this caliber of gastronomy performs his art, you feel it’s otherworldly. Bravo! ❤
Those kind of restaurants are just mindblowing in september I was at Disfrutar in Barcelona, the second best restaurant of this year and its not from this world, love that we can all experience this with you, a big thank you and I love that channel
I am not a pro but I have never heard of restaurants serving wines from 70s and 50s before. The most common reason afaik is that everything that old lies in an "experimental" category, cause noone can be 100% sure if the bottle would even be drinkable let alone be an excellent wine deserving a hefty price tag. Thus I think this truly special experience deserved it's own separate segment with more in-depth analysis.
This is simply the very best video review of a restaurant that I've ever viewed/experienced. !!! Insane! Alexander the Guest simply lets go, becomes human, and gives a 10 Star presentation on UA-cam, of how a 'restaurant review' should be done. Brilliant, and outstanding! Subscribed, liked, and bell rung forever !
Wow! This looks crazy good! I love how unabashedly original it is! Also while the reserve wine pairing was an eye watering €600, that looked to be a truly special pairing. So many crazy good wines in it!
Wow when I saw the price I was a bit hesitant but holy shit this looks worth every penny. No wonder he’s the back to back best chef in the world. There’s not a thing out of place on those plates
Alexander, amazing short, detailed, focused on in the important components love all your videos I can't get enough, have you done any visits to Australia before?
It makes you wonder where these places store all of these random plates/accessories for the dishes and how much of a pain they are to maintain and clean.
Another excellent video, Alexander. There are a few comments about not having to pay for the meal, but to refuse someone's generosity is rather churlish, I think. Especially from chef of the year ! As one commenter who's been there said - not to everyone's taste . But that's what you'd expect from a chef who pushes the boundaries with a wide range of international ingredients and techniques. All the best !
I started watching, or should I say binge-watching, last Friday, Jan.5,2024. Today, Sunday, Jan.7, I'm almost done with all the videos. Everything is just sooooo good! Kudos! Bravo!
That looked bonkers. Right up my alley. When did you go there? I would like to taste the same dishes and I wonder how long does their menu last and whilst I'm there I can see The Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch again.
Your videos are absolutely fantastic and so well done! The restaurants that you review are incredible and thank you for taking us on your journey! This one was truly special and I love how you appreciate all the key elements that go into making such a meal from the service to the presentation to the food. You and your team need ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ from Michelin!
'nobody around the christmas tree is completely honest after they open a gift..' Not a truer word spoken. I love this analogy so much. And it's true! Thanks for the amazing content from New Zealand. Dan
Congratulations. Videos are well produced, edited and interesting. No to mention informative. What I really want to know is where is his jacket from? Beautiful pattern.
I really appreciate all your video's, the balance between drinks and food is normally perfect... In this video it was more about drinks but still loved the video though...
I am a peasant - riveting watching - I wouldn't even comprehend such an experience was it not for your channel. I like my food very simple but this is so on a level I don't understand. I wonder if I would enjoy. I'm sure I would with some prompting. The wine pairings got me though - I'd go all in there. Love this channel I think you are an excellent food critic/blogger/restaurant owner/enthusiast. We have a channel called SBS in Australia and I see your show featuring on their food channel. Quality viewing. And I don't even understand half of what you are talking about when you describe the dishes. Highly recommend this channel. You will enjoy.
This looks absolutely incredible but I feel like when you said "halfway through", if I were eating those amazing dishes and drinking that wine I'd be well full by then... how you do it, I don't know! Haha
Among all restaurants, this one stands out from the others. It primarily focuses on taste, embracing a variety of cultures and regions. Uramini That is why most of its dishes are seafood-based.
I ate here earlier this year and this video really transports me back to the hedonism and insanity of the whole experience! A restaurant for the food-crazy by the food-crazy. In fact I wouldn't recommend it to most people because of how out of the ordinary it is. Just to check, I think you were having the 'regular' wine flight right?
I import those Luis Perez Sherries to New Zealand and no restaurants understand the magic in the bottles...so frustrating, but equally so great to see them on top restaurants!
I’m pretty sure the wine pairing is exclusively offered to Alex. Over 20 glasses for €600 is unbelievable good price, and they were mostly aged wines from great makers.
As someone who owns a flying wooden pig in her home, I was an instant fan of the decor. I particularly loved the ants climbing the staircase! I am not the most adventurous eater, but.loved the wine pairings. In your experience are there any foods you dislike or might not wish to try (assuming the food is safe to eat and prepared correctly)?
I love your video the best part for me was the fact that they server a Dr. Bürklin-Wolf wine. I used to work there love to see the German wine and even more the wine from the Weinstraße in Rhineland Palatine
the fact you admitted you didn't pay for it is something I really appreciatte. Also this restaurant looks absolutely insane.
Grad for everyone
Ah yes, give frre food to millionaires rather then regular hard working folks
He's a very respected restaurateur.. Why would anyone lie about something so little anyway 🤦♂️
I still remember when David Muñoz said that even his father would pay at his restaurant 😅😅
That’s the bare minimum…
I swear this is the highest quality fine dining content on all of UA-cam, I'm so glad to be here before his channel really takes off!!!
I think fine dining is quite a niche part of youtube
@@Aksel0206yeah, he’s probably the biggest fine dining creater there is😂😂. He has already taken off
wrrr

it's not worthless, a majority of his viewers just like to view the art form and are not looking at it for a review

That has to be the most passionate ‘fucking brilliant’ I’ve ever heard
Of all the restaurants you have featured, this is by far the most interesting with equally intriguing menu.
So far the most creative menu I've ever seen on this channel, I don't know what it tasted like but I'm impressed. Thank you Alexander!

Alex, you are a great storyteller. I feel like a book is read to me every time I visit your channel!

Great video that transports wonderful vibes! Thanks Alexander.
This restaurant was very different from your usual visits, In a very special way, Amazing review as usual!! And please keep the videos Coming
i appreciate you channeling the punk vibe by not caring about youtube censorship and dropping an unedited fbomb
Good afternoon, Alexander. My wife and I love your videos. Greetings from Brazil
This is simply the very best video review of a restaurant that I've ever viewed/experienced. !!!

It looks like a very “complete” experience. I look forward to dining there. Another great clip 👍
Absolutely amazing wines! Incredible concept! Bravo!

Wow, that is a very labour intensive meal, so much prep for all those courses.
Wine flight....fantastic 🙏
Wow when I saw the price I was a bit hesitant but holy shit this looks worth every penny. No wonder he’s the back to back best chef in the world. There’s not a thing out of place on those plates
amazing.....what an experience!!

Get yourself someone who loves you as much as Alexander loves Krug
Thanks Alexander. One of the most enjoyble 14 mins i ever spent in youtube. Proper piece of art.
That looked bonkers. Right up my alley. When did you go there? I would like to taste the same dishes and I wonder how long does their menu last and whilst I'm there I can see The Garden of Earthly Delights by Bosch again.
I was skeptical about the wine pairing, for €600 it needs to be crazy good but damn, all the wines introduced was rare and quite good for the price.
Man, the way you describe things... I love this channel!
This is such a well done and thoughtful video, I feel like I'm eating with you and I can't believe you don't have more subscribers! Thank you!
Only next level remains

Aww, this was amazing! Thank you for all of your work. True enrichment for me!
Out of this world.
wow this restaurant is over the top
Excellent!
This is just top class!! Love this
appreciate the candour when it comes to payment of the meal. imo, makes the review all the more objective vis a vis non-disclosure.
For me this looks like the best experience out of all your episodes. I watched them all :D This looks so special from the food not even the art.
'nobody around the christmas tree is completely honest after they open a gift..' Not a truer word spoken. I love this analogy so much. And it's true!
Thanks for the amazing content from New Zealand.
Dan
Added to my bucket list. this looks exquisite
Nothing screams more punk than high society luxury dining
the best yet
Congratulations. Videos are well produced, edited and interesting. No to mention informative. What I really want to know is where is his jacket from? Beautiful pattern.
This show, Like Alexander said, it's fucking brilliant!
I really appreciate all your video's, the balance between drinks and food is normally perfect... In this video it was more about drinks but still loved the video though...
The wine pairing alone would be an experience of a lifetime.
I am a peasant - riveting watching - I wouldn't even comprehend such an experience was it not for your channel. I like my food very simple but this is so on a level I don't understand. One could conclude this was a colourful experience. Mindblowing, never seen anything like this. Fabulous.
This was one of your best Videos👍❣️
Love your channel! Please make more content when you are connecting with the staff like you used to videos before!!
That food was next level. It's really creative.
Really thankfull to have your review on this restaurant and like your honesty about the invitation! Do you plan to test Disfrutar?
No different than any other review.
Except for the constant smile.
Carry on Chef.
Those wines! I'd give a lot to try just one or two...
The wine pairing was outstanding!
Most of these dishes look rather challenging to me. I'm sure they were all delicious; I'm just not sure I would be able to eat them...
This looks absolutely incredible but I feel like when you said "halfway through", if I were eating those amazing dishes and drinking that wine I'd be well full by then... how you do it, I don't know! Haha
What I really like in this videos is to see that the staff is actually proud to present their restaurant and their art.
Phenomenal wine pairing. MEGA
WOW, WOW, WOW
Respect on the Transparency
I LOVE the decor!
Among all restaurants, this one stands out from the others. It primarily focuses on taste, embracing a variety of cultures and regions.
Uramini
That is why most of its dishes are seafood-based.
Love your jacket
great review - will you say who was the chef you went with to eat at Diverxo?
I ate here earlier this year and this video really transports me back to the hedonism and insanity of the whole experience! A restaurant for the food-crazy by the food-crazy. In fact I wouldn't recommend it to most people because of how out of the ordinary it is. Just to check, I think you were having the 'regular' wine flight right?
Thank you Alexander for your insights.! You may consider visiting also Victor's Fine Dining by Christian Bau someday in Germany.
Love your post!!!!!!!
Im looking forward to see something from the Netherlands
He hit it out of the park, straight to Saturn.. What a feast.
Nicely done. 😋
I've never expected to hear you swear, but here we go.
When are you going to Alchemist in Kopenhagen
The ants! The ants! Marching up the stairs, lingering on the table! Everything was so gorgeous, and I love the faux-private seating ❤❤❤
This restaurant just made it to my bucket list. It looks truly phenomenal
Powerful yes, 3 stars I am having serious problem!
when de librije in the netherlands?
Looks wild indeed! Alex, the lucky eater! ;)
I’m stuffed just from watching this. Absolutely insane.
I import those Luis Perez Sherries to New Zealand and no restaurants understand the magic in the bottles...so frustrating, but equally so great to see them on top restaurants!
Insane and interesting 👍
this hits hard!!!
Omg, it’s me as a restaurant! I love love love it!
Was trying to get in at Diver XO on my trip to Spain but it was closed and instead went to Mugartitz 😅 Now must make it to Diver!!
Loved the ants too, they are somewhat Escheresque (who spent time in and was inspired by Spain and Italy).
I did not know that you were Hungarian! So Alexander stands for Sanyi !! nice one!
I see why it’s number 3 in top 50
I love your video the best part for me was the fact that they server a Dr. Bürklin-Wolf wine. I used to work there love to see the German wine and even more the wine from the Weinstraße in Rhineland Palatine
I've watched most of these, and this is the only restaurant I would definitely go to if I was within 100 miles.
Colunga faba beans! Fabes de colunga oh! Puxa asturies!
