Do I need to drain water to lower level all the time? End of drain always be opened or water can be dried by heat at the back side and open end small pipe drain sometime?
Having hot air come out a square hole into a round tube was such a stupid idea. Hot air leaks out of gaps of the tube into your house, and you need to duct tape it to stop it. Not really bright, my Danby AC had a circle hole going into the tube and didn't let any hot air leak into the house, and lasted 12 years before I replaced it (because of moving around the hose and window fixtures wore down). I bought the Gree and reGREEted it. Returned the next day.
I got one of these given to me. How do you figure the direction of water is downwards if it has to go upwards first? No reservoir for the water that you can empty? The screws don't even go in smoothly. This thing is cheap junk compared to my LG.
It's not portable if I need a tool to install the ruler on the window and if I can't change the window and adjust it easily. You shouldn't need a tool to adjust the window ruler and you should be able to switch windows easily. Other rulers of other air conditioners are easier.
Terrible design in terms of cleaning and maintenance. Shows you the easily removable screen, but it has more than one. All the rest of them your not able to reach.
Press up on the white panels, making sure you have both the screws out.... and all the rest you literally have to dismantle the thing to get to them....
kind of useless. How about a video of how to remove the side panel to clean those filters? I took out the screws, and hate breaking stuff, but I'm about to force it off. No links here to a website or manual?
Lift up on the white panels!!!!! I figured it out!!! Undo the two white screws on the bottom of the white panels then stand in front of the unit and use the palm of your hand to slide the panel up!!! More screws under neither to undo the back completely to get to the lower vent..... horrible design!!!
machine works great. But Wheels can't come off to lay flat on a table to be at the height of the window. the Window kit doesn't come with a hole to accept the hose going out the window since you need to have the hose draining somewhere or it will shut off when it's full no matter what setting you put it on. Typical product designed by a useless noodle arm pen pusher. Missed important and practical innovation for a superior product.
