Showing you how to take apart a Gree AC unit for thorough cleaning. If you want your unit to last and not burnt out, regular cleaning of accumulated dust is important.
lol i just installed our 6 year old AC today, same exact one as yours, ran it today for 45 minutes and it just turned off because it tripped the breaker so probably i need to deep clean the coils/evaporator. i've never taken it apart to clean it. i just clean the detachable parts and filters. thank you for the instructions.
Thanks although I wish you would have started from the beginning. I thought it wasn't able to be taken apart. So after you unscrew the everything the white covers on the side you just need to pop them free?
Your video is titled “how to take apart..” which is just what I need to do. Yet the actual content is *I guess* somewhat midway in the disassembly process, or is it the reassembly process, cause you keep talking about assembly procedure. Yes, I suppose that it might be possible to decode and reverse certain sections and reassemble them in my mind to create a disassembly procedure, but I mean give me a break! Gree is already making this as hard as possible, now this? Thanks a lot, I’m so much closer to cleaning my AC!
@pskoen Unfortunately it was such a pain taking it apart, I didn't feel like redoing the whole process but still wanted to capture how it can be done. I couldn't find any video of it so I thought ppl would appreciate someone sharing their experience with it. I'm glad it was still helpful somewhat 😁
Thanks you made it easy

That's correct, slide up and swing out.
