Good stuff 👍 I'm really, really loving these 200 series pedals. I wish Boss would heed my advice and make the Boss LS-200. The LS2 is seriously the one pedal I couldn't live without and I know that many people the world over feel the same. But Imagine a line selector with presets and 3-4 separate loop channels. MIDI capable and stereo out. I realize they have the es5 switcher, but we don't all want to drop that much cash on something that takes up so much space. This form factor as the line selector "brain" would sell by the boatload. Anyway I'm talking and dreaming too much. Great tones Leon! Love the rotary settings especially.
My favourite demo of this pedal Leon as with all of your gear demos. I just ordered the MD200 new in a sale for £160 (can't argue with that} also the Line6 MM4 used for £100; so for £260 I think it's a good buy. I'm an analogue snob which I've only just realised as all of my pedals are expensively boutique and of course analogue. Don't get me wrong I do have a few digital pedals such as the Volante and the Dispatch Master etc...but the MD200 does seem like fun with some truly great sounds and options within...looking forward to having a modulation frenzy when the pedals arrive this week...
Hey Leon. I’m very, very limited in peddle n’ amp knowledge...having last bought the tube screamer & the dark green newer TS some 20 years ago after hearing it was SRV’s peddle. Anyway, I thought I’d listen & can say the univibe fuzz with the rate up was awesome! As was when you turned the #2 down which gave it the bass tone sound!? As well as the last 2ish minute sounds. Oy tech is so unheard of! BTW - anyone remember the third White band from the 80’s? Sykes & Bratta aka Lion & 🐍
@@LeonTodd Hey, it's been a while but it'd be awesome if you got around to this! I'm also a guitarist with horrendous keyboard skills so it'd be a really helpful demo for me
Can I somehow mix two modulation types with MD-200? I mean like a mixture of overtone & slicer? In your opinion is it better to buy this product, or should I separately buy a chorus, a vibrato a phaser etcetc.?Thanks in advance! Cool vid mate!
i have both the DD 200 and MD 200 and i really wish they had an instruction poset i could hang on my wall, when all the diffrent selections and then paramaters nobs that change, it's a mess
its like that overtone can do no wrong. someone either likes whats up or they dont. Yes thats it ,,, no thats it,,,,, no no mmm this ones good to.. hell im gonna watch some tv
Hi Leon Todd, i'd like your opinion about this effects compared to the ones in Boss MS3? I am in between this two choices. MS3 and connect external overdrive like OD-200 or just go to OD-200 and this MD-200. Thank you
I just can't get into this damn thing. I want to, for the CE chorus, but, the flanger and phaser are sterile. And, you can't stack sounds? Nah. Also, I'd rather have the separate feature-packed Slicer. I think the EHX epitome would cover the flange/chorus/octave thing better, and perhaps a Bubble Tron for the Phaser flange envelope step filter thing.
dont know if you have got one yet. but i have an od200 ,dd500, and md500. the sounds they can make are relative.. but reading and programming the 500 series is easier. because of the screen read out. the od 200 and those abbreviations ,, i cant remember all of them im always programing it with the manual.. lose that and its over. Love the choice of distortions i bought the 0d200 for 250.... a b stock used dd500 for 250. and the used md500 for 265. all from reverb. i run them into an ES5 ,,, and i cant stop playing them
Holy crap that distortion on the effects goes from 0-60 way too fast. Holy moly!
Great demo, thank you for showcasing this guy!

This is an excellent idea.
Great demo. Definitely made me want to buy one.
Glad to hear it!
I have an MD-500 (for over a year), and have never touched the Overtone section... I am an idiot, that sounds fantastic!

That Rotary is killer sounding!
Also; Overtone is great as well. Good stuff.
Yeah they did a real good job with the rotary on this one, love the way it dirties up
Killer Tele, Killer Pedal and Absolutely Killer Guitar Player!
Well done and thanks for sharing brother! Be Well Leon!

AWESOME DEMO @Leon Todd. Really helped me dial this pedal in. THANKS!
Glad it helped!
Tanks for the Modulations!
I would like to hear what synths or keyboards sound like with the MD-200.
Something i intend to demo despite my horrendous keyboard skills.

No, although I know the MD-500 can.
I think I might have had an acid flashback cuz I could swear I heard some Uriah Heep in the distorted rotary demo! Far out and freaky mannnn!
Opened for them a few years ago and they were great live. Still got that psych vibe!
Great vid man,how is the bypass signal, Does this pedal alter it in anyway?
1:24 - will have to try that. I have been using it in post with a single amp, and it works well, but it's always fun to try something different.
2:32 - yes, unless 'seasick' is what you are shooting for.... :)
6:12 - love me some rotary....
7:04 - wow, the dirt comes on quickly
11:54 - yes, that is a cool way to think of it.
13:16 - that's a cool tone....
It had to be the fire that fogged my brain.
I’m ashamed! God bless all who passed
& I’m sorry to comment again.
Cheers
Robin Trower in a box!
Next levels ....noise lover 's ...I see.metals , hard rocks....
Alright! Some Robin Trower riffs in this year and YT age?! Way to go Leon! Keep up the good work (or tone!) Greetings from Mexico!
Bridge of Sighs is my guitar bible!

Impressive!
great!!! In the rotary mode, the E. Level knob controles the rotary volume or the wet/dry signal mix?
Can I mixed this boss md-200 with a boss single pedals?

where did you place the md200 in your signal chain??

I'm very implessed with these tones 😜
Naah I'ma save for the AxeIII and it's all kinda your fault.
😉
Md200 or md500?
The 500 has the Roland Dimension emulation which this lacks. Otherwise I'd grab the 200

forget the pedal, can this guy teach me how to play? :-o
Vintage phaser really sucks...
