Many years ago I met Fred "The Hammer" Williamson at a gentlemen's club. He was on a coast to coast promotional campaign for a national liquor brand. We spoke briefly, and he signed an autograph for my daughter, who was 8 years old at the time. He was a genuinely nice guy.
I can say without even checking that this must be the 70s, a decade where blacks used be well dressed and had fros instead of sagging pants and straight bleached hair
LOL what was the budget to make this film $100? At the box office they must have made about $500. I love the movie Shaft now that was a movie! In fact all the shaft movies. And when he shoots somebody what's coming out of that gun red paintballs? The way the blood is on the shirt LOL
The whole era was about putting little investment to attract a black audience. The studios were going take the same risks they did for White Audience. The studios basically ended era by stopping investing in these movies once the White Audience came back.
THE "WALK" THAT FRED WILLIAMSON HAD IN THIS MOVIE
