Does the S5 II run on USB-C power? I have the R5C and like that I can keep an OEM battery in the camera and then run from USB-C so if there's any power issues with the external battery, it can fall back on the internal battery for a bit while I swap the external.
Yeah, any recent Pansonic camera can run on USB-C power. I use an S5 with an internal battery and an external battery plugged into the USB-C port. If the camera's on it uses the external power and if the camera's off it charges the internal battery (not both at the same time). I like having the internal battery just in case the cable gets pulled accidentally, the camera will keep running.

Can that monitor be powered by the v mount? The big blocky NPF battery that close to the lens gives me anxiety about it creeping into your shot.
