I was going to diss that robot but you have changed my mind. Yeah that would be perfect purpose but sadly we all know what type of people will buy it....Rich and lazy...I hope Im wrong though.
@@Graczula lol why is that a bad thing? There was a time where we used to wash clothes by hand, I wouldn’t call people with washing machines as rich and lazy.
As nice as these sounds, the real question is how much will the MSRP be? If it costs a ton of money, perhaps it won't be as worth it. Also considering it's the first gen model, you might want to hold off even if you have the expendable income to purchases these until at least the 2nd gen versions are released.
I have a theory that probably sounds like a conspiracy. In the 80's, technology really boomed, we should have had robots to help since then, but I believe these things were put on hold on purpose because we were moving too fast. I know that sounds nuts but to me it's nuts that these things aren't around yet.
Samsung concept robots translation in real world: we have the idea and the imagination to create those robots, robots that are capable of doing your stuff but unfortunately we lack the technology and experties to actually build them, so be enthusiastic, keep cheering and admire us because we have the idea and the concept even though you won't see them happen.
Let's see how it actually performs...when even vacuum bots still struggle I can only imagine the mess it could potentially make in your house. My Roborock didn't see the cat food plate, happily went over it with the mop installed and continued "cleaning" the kitchen when it fact it was smudging cat food all over it...
I guess the price between $3000 to 8000 would be reasonable. Eventually(may before 2030-2035), I believe every home will have this type of robot. Think about White goods like washing machines, freezers, etc, or even a car. When those firstly invented, only a few people could buy those, and perhaps many people doubted its functionality and neccesity like why give the laundry to the "ridiculously expensive" machines while I can do it more deliberately?
All this stuff is super impractical and that first robot that stacks dishes is obviously only useful in a pristine home environment. Also, no one needs a robot to place a screen in front of them for a conference call. That's a solution looking for a problem. I can see these devices being useful for someone with a disability, but how many people with disabilities are going to be able to afford something like that?
I'm older and I have disabilities..I need the bot handy..the others do less than ur phone and we've had robot vacs for 30yrs ...if they did one that could clean its own brushes..now that b useful. I don't want a phone on wheels with a smily face...I NEED something that can help me with physical tasks! We've had the technology a long time! If u can automate a factory 🏭 and make the rich richer why can't we develop something to help low income disabled people who have no one else??? 🤔
As more and more jobs and tasks are being handled by robots and AI... is anyone concerned about what will happen to the vast number of unemployed/unemployable people?
It's for people with disability, I don't think most people are going to need it. It's going to cost you a fortune to do the simpliest tasks and it's going to make us more inactive than we already are.
Handy seems to be the most handy one
The robot butler isn't bad, would definitely be useful for older people or people with disabilities.
Also for lazy people like me.

Handy is the robot I'm waiting for since the jetsons (it's sooooo more useful than a mere iPad with wheels)
Lmao yeah
MR HANDY. IRL.
in fallout 4 and real life we can have a handy get us drinks and do chores.
Amazing technology. I would really like to have robots around me in the future.
The OmniBot from my 80's childhood finally found it's form in the Bot Care. Unfortunately no tape deck though, that's a loss.
General Atomics finally came out with the Mr. Handy!
Not sure if people need this but it's nice to know that technology is advancing to make like easier, and better.
Can the handy do the....you know, HANDY thing...??👀👀😂😂🤣
🤣
Samsung: to improve this technology, we made a partnership with Skynet.

"robot" "O robot"
A robot that picks up toys after my kid? Take my money!
Everybody gansta until handy grabs a knife
How about Handy as arm and body, Vacuum dock as the foot and Care as head.
That better
I'm sure those who still have paying jobs will love to buy one.
When will this be on unboxed 😂
Exactly what I was thinking!!!!
Handy looks like the Samurai Bot, that Handy can be home defence to a robot modder
Still waiting for this to come out
I want the handy to go around an hour before my vacuum to pick up any objects it finds on the floor.

1:31 - automatic vacuum cleaners like this are available for years now. Are a few extra sensors enough to call it an innovation? I don't think so.
I see these robot since 1980....nothing arrived at the consumer hands till this moment "excluding rich people"

we need more arms
