I think it’s just so frustrating that the bulk of the responsibility falls on the consumer especially when so many people don’t have access to bulk bins etc
It definitely is frustrating! But hey, voting with your dollars does wonders, too! So personal responsibility comes with the benefit of also pressuring companies to take responsibility, as well.
I love trying to be zero waste, and so not perfect at it - but I try. Customers with reusable containers at restaurants/take out on the fence. I am immune-comprised and even though I know people are trying their best to be clean, not everthing can be communal.
I love the video. And one doesn't have to be perfectly waste free, but making an effort helps. Ditto with trying to use up leftovers/not letting food spoil.
Food scraps can be saved in a jar in the freezer until it is full. Then add some water and simmer it, strain it out after a half hour or so and use the broth for cooking pastas or for no fat sautéing. The stuff strained out can go into compost.
Awesome video, y'all! So proud of you! I do my best to live a low-waste lifestyle too. At times this causes anxiety, especially, since we lost our bulk bins since the pandemic. Boo!!
If you're staying up at night and your eyes are puffy because you're crying as the thoughts in your mind keep telling you bad things. We're here for you. We might be strangers from all over the world but i assure you, we are here for you in prayers and when your time in need.
You know I never thought I'd enjoy this series as much as I have. Also restaurants don't wanna do zero waste cause they're all about fast food and business so that they can take as many customers as possible and make more $$$. They are not interested in sustainability
Although it's shown that the costs are similar, there is more left over ingredients from the none zero waste ingredients. I guess it's one of the things that you are gonna have to work around if you wanna help save the planet.
I’m a germaphobe and I’m always washing my hands so I go through paper towels like crazy. I don’t like reusing hand towels. I don’t know what you want from me. 😭

I think so too..

I watched 45:06 enjoyable minutes! Great job‼️
This was such an amazing video to watch. Auri is a ray of sunshine
I love this zero waste series it's made me start my zero waste journey and pepper everyone around me to start their own hahah 😅
So many changes you can make and so many that are really hard to integrate on a day to day basis - especially if the right shops are not available
i really love this series so i don't mind rewatching it

New to your videos & loved it 🥰
Paper towel is compostable
I LOVED LOVED THIS VIDEO!!!!! I had to share it with friends and family. GREAT JOB LADIES🥰🥰🥰. I will totally try it. I live in Texas👍🏼!
You really should be careful when hiking and meeting strangers, you never know what could happen. Other than that I'm proud you did it!

I miss hiking, so much. That trail was amazing, even when it was cloudy.
Brought my own container to numerous family owned restaurants and food carts. They did it every time
Things are happening now and needs to be fixed. Sustainability.
Loved this video! Very entertaining from start to finish!
You are my hero Auri! Yes!
Even when I go to the local H-E-B, which is a grocery store, there are still pieces of trash on the produce to worry about.
Thank you!
Zero waste I won't be (can't in my circumstances, but looking forward to some tips and inspiration) but improve I can.
Although it's shown that the costs are similar, there is more left over ingredients from the none zero waste ingredients. I guess it's one of the things that you are gonna have to work around if you wanna help save the planet.
I like to use a lot of my veggie scraps to make broth. I keep them in a bag in the freezer till I have enough to start.

They have compostable paper towels so they can go in compost as long as it doesn’t have cleaning chemicals on them
Auri si amazing!!!
Hi there!! 👋🏻👋🏻 Happy Friday!
Just watched the whole thing :)
Eating out must be the worst as the restaurant behind the scene is causing so much waste from what you’ve eaten.
The final weight of 3.5 pounds had fruits in the bag though?

Ari,
You and John need to get married!!!!!
Zero waste means that you buy the product one time.
I’m also trying to go to zero waste 🎈
Why aren't we also talking about/ holding accountable commercial production and the waste it makes
Hi🧡
So do you not drive a car?
Why didn’t you guys just make your own noodles from the flour?
