- Once Upon a Time in…Holyhead features Andrew Walker who had a devastating and life-changing motorbike accident over 12 years ago which resulted in the loss of his right arm, a load of metalwork in his legs, a long time spent in a wheelchair followed by years of rehabilitation.
Remarkably, Andrew returned to his great passion of rock climbing and here he revisits his fave sea cliff: Gogarth near Holyhead in North Wales. He attempts one of the greatest rock climbs in the UK called “A Dream of White Horses”.
Andrew is a larger than life character and has a very special relationship with a myriad of memories of Gogarth where he has climbed literally dozens of routes spanning decades of climbing at the White Cliff.

Brilliant!
Amazing!!
I saw this vid and was under the illusion it was quite easy as this guy does it one handed!! So much respect!! I struggled on the last pitch on the crux move around the nose of rock!
Did 2nd and 3rd pitch in one 54m pitch and was my first HVS 😬
Brilliant
NIce route. I did it 40 years ago, along with Wen and Britomartis - a great day's climbing. Wen can be a bit wet (understatement) near the base.
In the early 70s when I was on Gogarth, though not to this standard . It was known as "Dream of brown trousers" as one can see for good reason.
picnic course......
I have one arm and have started to climb can I have your email for contact because I want to meet you and watch you climb
Good luck to you!! Hope you continue to climb today
My grandson is doing this tomorrow. It looks very scary.
