- "Sonata c" by the Italian composer and organist Niccolò Moretti (1763-1821). Kalevi Kiviniemi plays the historic Serassi Organ (1851) at the Church of San Biagio, Caprino Bergamasco, Italy. This was recorded and filmed in June 2003, during the recording of CD "Serassi - Italian Organ Music" (OrganEra vol.6, FUGA-9183, www.fuga.fi).
Serassi family was one of the most famous organ builders in Italy and Europe. They built organs from 1720 to 1895. This organ (opus 603) was built in 1851 by Serassi Brothers (Fratelli Serassi), six son's of Giuseppe II Serassi. They ran organ building business together in the 19th century.
Recordings were made in San Biagio in the nighttime. The temperature in the church was still about 30 degrees - this was a hot session! We were lucky that there were no technical problems with this historical organ. Video was recorded at the last night, after the session, about 4:50 in the morning.
Audio was taken from the original high quality multi channel recording setup, not from the built-in microphone of the video camera. The better your audio system is, the better is the sound. Although video was recorded in SD-quality (standard definition), both audio and video are better in 720p and 1080p. Audio, video, editing and description by Mika Koivusalo.

Lui e Valeri erano due eccellenti compositori, con la sfortuna di essere vissuti in una realtà come quella italiana, fissata con l'opera, e la sfortuna di avere titani come Mozart e Beethoven fra le scatole. Comunque come popolo, quest'inventiva lirica i tedeschi se la sognano! Un motivo d'orgoglio di essere nati in questa penisola.
