Hyphen was definitely launched to be a dupe to Rhode. Their line is so fcking similar with the "peptide" as main character ingredient. Lip balms, petite barrier creams etc are all so similar. I love both kriti and hailey, but hyphen isn't dermatologist approved i think. While Rhode is formulated by newyork's no. 1 dermatologist who also formulated maya stewart's skincare. Hyphen has some issues but its better suited for india because of affordability and being "made in india". We as indians, definitely need to buy indian and local products more. This "exported" "branded" foreign fad is killing the local business and harming Indian economy in long term. I love Hailey and I'd probably buy a liptint from her, but most of my products are going to be from good indian brands.

As an Indian-American the whole "dermatologist tested" thing here in the US is a joke. It just means they bought out the dermatologist for their "approval." Means nothing and doesn't exactly mean it's safe.

I can never not appreciate your honesty. Hyphen has to be paying influencers because the way they claim this to be better than Rhode without having ever used Rhode is crazy. In my personal opinion (I've used the basic Hypen lipbalm), this is nowhere close to Rhode. The texture is just different and it absolutely does not give your lips that smooth glass like shine that Rhode really sells on.

lip 'depigmentation' is not possible usless you have depigmentation from something like smoking. If your lips are naturally pigmented, then you literally cannot change their color. This 'depigmentation' terminology is mostly only used in indian and south asian countries to earn money through colorist ideologies.

Team hyphen thought that it would be good to copy because most indians cannot afford the rhode one so they would want a dupe but once you can afford the rhode one, there’s no going back to anything else.
