@@aliviasanime3097 We like Harbor House for convenience, but it is not the most budget friendly. We have also stayed at the La Quinta next to Wal-Mart and it was budget friendly and had a good breakfast.
I so needed this video. We'll be sailing out of Galveston soon and have been trying to figure out how to get from the airport to the island. Looks like the option is clear.
@baylielin8979 we ended up deciding to drive in. Some friends that are just about halfway are also going, and we're staying with them and driving in the next day.
My brother and I are using the NCL transfer the day of return and it is $39/person We were told NCL does not have their transfer stop at hotels the day before, only in service the day the ship is in port embarkation day.
We are planning on sailing out of Galveston in July. Our flight would arrive at 8.30am the day of the cruise. Wouldn't that be more than enough time to get to the port for Carnival Cruise Line? Boat leaves at 4pm. The same for our return flight which would be around 2.50pm. The ship should get to port at 8am. Wouldn't be enough time to get the Hobby Airport?
Not a stilly question! I think that the Carnival Transfer is just for Carnival, but check with the Galveston Express or a simular company and see what you can do. If you are going on a cruise with another company, see if they have a transfer as well.
@@rgruenhaus no, because there was no way of contacting Uber back then. I made it work though. He was mad after he dropped us off because I left all his junk on the ground 🤣
Hi, I will be boarding the NCL Prima in February 2024. Flying into Houston Hobby the day before the Cruise. Decided to get down to Galveston Island the day I fly in and NOT wait for Cruise day. I booked the Harbor House Hotel at Pier 21. I am Cruising as a Solo. Have never used Uber, but a friend explained everything I have to do. QUESTION: Would you recommend Uber for me from Houston Hobby Airport to Harbor House Hotel? QUESTION²: What do you know about GALVESTON SHUTTLE? One other Cruise content creator said "mixed reviews." Thanks in advance. 😎⛹️♀️🚴♂️🤸♂️
This week I checked the price to Uber from HOU to the pier and it was $40. Not much more expensive than the Galveston express. So depending on the time of day you get in. Uber might save you some cash. When you exit the airport to the pickup area. Go to Zone 5 and you can price taxis or order your UBER. Either way, they will get you in that zone.
Great video and love how fun you made it! We love cruising from Galveston!
Thank you! I had a lot of fun making this video
Which hotel you recommend for a family. We be there cruising in March.
Thank you

Which airport did you fly Hobby or Bush? Which shuttle service did you use. We are going in August 2024

Does Royal have a shuttle?
I have never used their shuttle so I am not sure! I'm betting they have some kind of service but if not, there are a lot of options out there.
Silly question, but is the Carnival transfer just for Carnival passengers?

From Hobby, Royal Caribbean offers a similar service.
I’m confused about the Galveston Express, they said on busier days they only stop at the terminals, not at hotels.
Uber or Lift charging for a car, Express shuttle charging $30 bucks for each passenger. So do your math!
I don’t trust Uber anymore doing a cruise because I got stuck in California because the Uber showed up with junk in the trunk, so no room for luggage.
@@tonyl7405did you report the driver?
