- I make a plethora of mistakes online on the 4YA DCS World server. Making mistakes seems to be my go to thing whenever I play DCS recently. It must be me brushing off the cobwebs.

I think it was indeed, failures are a good thing. If someone can learn from my cockups, win win. Also, they can tell me how to improve 😁

(To be honest I nerver knew how to have a good energymanagement, thats why I stay with the Spitfire😅)
I am reading “Thunderbolt” at the moment and it is making me more determined to become formidable in the P-47. I can mix it up with the best of them in the Spit but I too am struggling with energy management. Still, practice will help.

Nice to see someone else struggling in the Jug. I rarely fly the allied side on 4YA, mostly because it's usually stacked in their favour so I barely have any stick time in the 47 because I end up flying the Anton instead. Got my a** handed to me on Sunday. 3 bailouts and in return I only forced a 109 to ditch in a field, helped with another kill and bombed a few ground units.
Considering the Anton is the objectively inferior plane it's telling that I am much more successful in the Anton...
I’m getting myself up to speed in the Anton so I can fly on whichever side needs more pilots. But, until I get the hang of good energy management I’ll be easy pickings for a while. Still, it will be a fun learning experience for me.

im to crap to even consider going onto a server , still trying to learn the basics of the p51 trainer , want a 109k4 or p47 or 190 , not sure
P51 can defeat all german aircraft, better chances than in the P47. All you need is practice. Don't give up.
I can't fly well enough to even try multiplayer. Do you know of any DCS world flight lessons or instructors? Still working on straight and level trimmed and holding altitude in a turn....weapons are a long way off

It may sound counterintuitive, but the one thing that accelerated my learning the most was flying on pvp servers. You may not feel you're ready quite yet, but my point is that most people are more ready for pvp than they think, they're just nervous.
Remember, this is a game after all. Just a really cool one. It's about having fun and learning. So, don't take online pvp to seriously. Just have fun, ask questions, and learn from your mistakes. Just like Pascale is doing. You will get there sooner than you probably think.
I know you are right but I am still too dangerous to be let out in public. 1/2 the time I need all the runway width to do anything and the only area I am beginning to develop consistency is final approach. Everything is else is literally a wing and a prayer. No way for instance could I incorporate radio traffic at this point. I am just short of 10 hours with 55 landings and a few that didn't end in a crash I just feel due diligence on my part is more practice. to de@@p_s_hoffman8772

Best tip I can give you is to fly only PVP servers. Wolfpack WW2 server is the best learning environment, then move to 4YI which is more challenging. I improved in 1 month more than a year on the Instant Action missions in DCS.

From the first clip it looks like you have far too much gas. When you’re looking for pvp in the jug take about 40% internal fuel with an external belly
tank. Remove your wing pylons as well

@@TacticalPascale If you ever fly on the wolfpack server look for either bishop or gams, they can tell you way more about fighting in the 47
First mistake was flying a P-47 I think.

@@TacticalPascale lol !! ... Don't worry. I love getting into my P-47 and flying. ... But it is quite the beast!
I think you should fly TF-51D for couple years and maybe then move to something with guns.
