Peruvian students WIN international award in DUBAI and surprise the world with their project

  • At COP28 in the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, presented the awards to the winners of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, among which is the High Performance College ( COAR) de la Libertad, winner of the Global Secondary Schools in America category, with its project 'Improvement of the La Mochica canal'.
    As recalled, the schoolchildren together with their teachers presented the aforementioned plan that includes phytoremediation, a technique that uses plants to decontaminate soils and purify wastewater. This, in order to benefit agriculture and prevent health problems for the population. The College has been awarded a prize of 100 thousand dollars to develop the project.
