Well done Morten, i to like to shoot 22lr. I have a anschutz 1416 with a 20 moa pic rail . Was trying to set up for some long distance, but our range is only 100mt. till next time CHEERSI
Great shooting.👍 The .22lr is my favorite rifle. Standard velocity ammo works in my opinion the best with long range shooting. With high velocity ammo you will never get these results, yeah on 50 meters maybe. My Anschutz likes the Norma Tac, and i shoot very tight groups with it. Cheers!
I believe the reason hi velocity isn't as accurate at range is because as the bullet drops below the speed of sound a tiny bit of turbulence occurs at the base of the bullet, the boat tail designs of larger centre fire round reduces this.
@Rapalaron, the .17hmr is supersonic for a lot further than a hi velocity. 22lr, it's going to stay accurate while it's still supersonic, or a subsonic bullet should stay accurate if it hasn't been supersonic in the first place.
I believe at least some .17hmr such as the hornady v max have boat tailed designs which would negate to some degree the transonic effects on the bullet
Hello Morten, great shooting video and very nice performance, thumbs up from New Zealand,, Tony

22lr under rated round I've had rabbits at 200 yards with eley subs very under estimated.

@@karlblanchfield3676 i would agree Karl, but how would you explain .17hmr? Lighter bullit, supersonic and very accurate.
