pretty sure vegan leather means it's just fake leather which doesn't really matter on a phone since the downsides to that are that it isn't as flexible and breaks easily as a result but the back on a phone stays on and doesn't move so yeah lol

I think I don't
As a vegan,for that kind o leather is easy to tell the difference. The vegan ones feel like plastic or fabric and the smell is almost non existent or plastic like.
Some other types of leather are harder to tell the difference, the one that looks like it has small hairs is the hardest one for me. More processing = harder to tell the difference.
I really want the old seated dark room unboxing format! :(

@@theMF69 I don't think so. They either send them back, most of these handsets probably only exist as 'showroom' type pieces, but when they did a tour of the space they operate in they still have a ton of the stuff sent to them.
MKBHD will pull out older devices sometimes to use for comparison.
Selling these items on I'd be surprised if 1. Unbox Therapy or any other reviewer would put the time into doing that and 2. It's a bit daft for these companies to give stuff out. They get exposure yeah but you can get exposure and pay for shipping back and forth rather than handing over $1000 dollar handsets and then allowing the recipient to then sell it on.
@@dave93x The profit margin on a cell phone these days is so extremely high that giving one away to somebody who promotes it, is just a guaranteed higher profit margin. Oppo got both of us to watch this video if you really think about it. Now we're talking about it and that creates publicity. Don't you know you've got to spend money to make ridiculous profit gains?

But let's not forget to mention, the essential ingredients of a phone ( the ability to make calls) I haven't even looked this phone up yet, but I would guess that it is missing 60 percent of the LTE bands needed for north America. Lew lives in Canada, so it's surprising that he doesn't put these things out. 5G bands do not matter until the full infrastructure is in place.

With current technology in glass making, you really shouldn't be needing a screen protector any more. It compromises the sensoring of the screen and viewing experience.

Software tweaks. I use S8+ which is curved and I wouldn't switch to flat. Curves basically allow you to accommodate bigger display without single hand use penalty

I have the OPPO find x2 lite and it's my favourite phone of all time, literally only £299 and it has such great specs, it's sooo smooth and screen is gorgeous the battery is amazing and the charging time is ridiculous with the Vooc charging all for only £299 still blows my mind 😂
